"One other way to handle this is to not blog about work. I've been blogging since the 1990s and rarely mention work related matters, unless it's years or decades later. As a result, I focus on industry trends in my blogging and end up not having to worry about disclosing anything about my own company. It gives me a chance to clarify my own thoughts on direction (especially thanks to the comments I get) and makes me a better entrepreneur as a result."

"Indeed, the number of players at the table is complicating things. For example, I was surprised to see that Google Wallet only works with Sprint. When you dig in, you realize why: Sprint is the only carrier not part of the ISIS conglomerate so they must have struck an exclusive with Google. This means that meanwhile, Google is not available on most carriers though the technology is all in place for it to work. Ultimately, what will kill NFC in the US is not the lack of technology but that lack of cooperation between each of the player because banks, telcos, and vendors all want to take their cut of the transaction, making it a less viable offering than alternatives."

"Conley, I assume from your note that you're a Nintendo insider. The rumors I've heard of this being an option being discussed were coming from people inside the company. Are you saying that those people lied to me?"
