If I had to chose between wordpress.com and Blogger I would probably go with Blogger. Just because some of the features you get with Blogger for free you have to pay for with Wordpress.com. But, that is assuming that Blogger is working correctly, which it wasn't when I switched to Wordpress.org. - Mathew Ballard
This depends on how much work you want to do and how much flexibility you want. If you just wanna get down to the business of writing without thinking too hard about anything else, Blogger. If you want to do fancy crap and you're willing to mess with internals a little, go self-hosted WP. - Rah™
