This is oddly fascinating. I am particularly impressed by good visualization of something that you kind of understand intuitively but have never "seen". - Todd McKinney
Saw something yesterday (I forget who wrote it) speculating that there wasn't a compelling strategy behind Chrome. Umair kinda shreds that idea here... - Todd McKinney
Wishing it had AdBlockPlus....but the lack of memory leaks and quick browsing is really growing on me. - Sean McGee
Just 'installed' a bunch of web apps on my Quick Launch bar... The biggest compliment I can pay it is I don't notice it. Some how the browser has just dissappeared and the page is the sole focus :) - John Worthington
It might replace FF3 as my secondary browser. IE8Beta2 is my primary. Super fast, had proces per tab a long time ago and is really stable. - Soulhuntre

Mr Bill from SNL? ... I don't know either... just going off of a reference from The Office. - Brandon
where'd chris go? LOL i'm still confused! - Mona N.
Best reference I could find for mr bill, the "official" site: http://www.mrbill.com/ I'd guess Chris was saying the cake looks more like Mr Bill than it does like Han Solo. I kinda agree. - Todd McKinney
""TX54 is a disposable timepiece that is worn on the user’s thumbnail. While its translucency makes it blend seamlessly with the hand, a selection of text color options and a glow feature that activates on command make it easy to read."" - Cee Bee

I could see paying maybe $50 for one of these... and then in a couple years they'll be giving them away in cereal boxes. - Tad - the Meme Maker
I'm amazed by the amount of creativity and seriously thoughtful work that looks like it was all contributed by people just trying to win a contest. No real mention of prizes or compensation, but this looks like a real bargain for Timex. Kind of a massive crowdsourcing activity as best I can tell. http://www.core77.com/timex/wi... - Todd McKinney
Mona didn't "like" this? Something's not right... - Outsanity
That's because there's no BACON in here, except for that porky finger on the left image - Susan Beebe
only useful if they come in bags of 20 for less than $5, because I'm going to lost them. - Brian Norwood
Disposable timepiece. Great, another toxic toy to wind up in the land fill by the thousands. - John Wright
Why would it have to be toxic John? Besides in 20 years we'll have nanobots mining all the plastic we've dumped into landfills... - Tad - the Meme Maker
Perhaps it has just been drilled into my head that any electronics are toxic. I'm not allowed to toss them in the garbage here in California. I have to take any electronic device to a suitable recycler. I may have made a bad assumption that it was because electronic devices contained toxic materials. Anyway, it still seems like having more and more disposable things isn't in the best interest of anyone but the manufacturer. - John Wright
Not on Safari! ...ok fine, I lied. I hate Safari - Mona N.
Morning Mona ! I speak Russian, u still need help reading this article? - Hayk
Hayk, g'morning! There's an English stylesheet, I was just too dumb not to notice LOL. Thank you, though! :) - Mona N.
It's a wireless optical two-button mouse called "Mooss 2" which handles the mouse and itself looks like a mouse. On touch, it feels like chamois(-leather). In the handle of the mouse there is indicator of charge which turns on only when the mouse needs to be recharged. This is essentially the translation. - Hayk
Amit: Sorry, but this something I really believe is WRONG (as do a bunch of people on FF) and it is important we get as many people to see this as possible...please DIGG it and try to get everyone to see it. Thanks. - Justin Korn
This was most likely one of those things where they were freaking out about terrorists and what not. But at any rate, most places like that have the right to refuse anyone for any reason. - Nathan Allen Pinard
Justin, I 100% agree, that's why I logged in to digg to vote, which is not something I do very often. Still half my FF front page is about this it :o) - Amit Morson
Nathan, I agree that any business has the right to refuse anyone. However, the way the patron was treated and, how it was handled is what has people riled up. As a business owner, you might refuse anyone you want but, don't be surprised if your public doesn't like your practices. - Candace Holly
Nathan: Like Candace said, it has nothing to do with SFMOMA refusing Thomas...it's the way it was handled. It's ridiculous and quite frankly, moronic. If this Simon guy had an issue (due to business) he could have talked to Thomas in a civilized way. Thomas is a reasonable guy and would have talked with the guy had he offered to, but that was not the case. - Justin Korn
As a amateur photographer that uses a DSLR, I always carry a copy of http://www.krages.com/phoright... Many people are ignorant about the rights of a person to use a camera. As the museum's own website allows use of photography, I think hawke should contact the Museum's director and go over this person's head. - Jack Wilson, K4SAC
“http://www.readwriteweb.com/ar... says that Bloglines is more popular that Googler Reader. I'm curious--do you use Bloglines, Google Reader, or Something Else?”
I almost wrote that bloglines is mostly a forgotten product, but then I did some research and came across the data from Hitwise that proved me wrong - personally, I use Feeddemon and GReader - Frederic
Frederic, it's more likely Hitwise is wrong. - Louis Gray
hitwise may have undercounted. see ionut's comment in the article. Reader's url is www.google.com/reader and not reader.google.com. reader.google.com simply redirects to www.google.com/reader. A different data point - searches for google reader outnumber bloglines - try google insight or google trends. - Atul Arora
I have never heard of anyone using anything but GReader until David just said he uses Bloglines... - Rah™
We recently did a research around this and had a very hard time finding bloglines users but looking at the compete data, they seem to have 500K month visitors and I have been hearing them having about 50-100K unique visitors per day. - Edwin Khodabakchian
@louis and @atul I had the same concern, but in the comments, Hitwise points out that they did look at the right URL - GReader clearly has the momentum, but let's not forget that bloglines has been around for a lot longer and still has a lot of loyal users (even if they are not in FF :) - Frederic
Used Google Reader, then Bloglines. Now not really using either due to FF. - Wade Dorrell
None. Have switched to FF...maybe I am hooked by the customer delight angle. Maybe it is the fact that it lulls me into thinking I have discovered and stumbled and discovered something new. - kamla bhatt
Pretty outlandish and intriguing idea. It's kind of amazing to see the caliber of people working on this and think through the practical approach to making it happen. Very cool. - Todd McKinney
Tad, I wish you had commented the code I have to maintain. It would make my day much more enjoyable. - Stupid Blogger (aka Tina)
There's a "method" to the madness. :) - Morton Fox
That's part of my axiom of coding: code that is never called can never execute, and also can never crash. - Jonas Bush
another reason that the productivity metric KLOC (thousands of lines of code) entirely measures the wrong thing. - Richard Walker
That might have measured productivity back in the 70s (though I doubt it)... I think it's just a metric for managers who feel like they need to compensate for something... - Tad - the Meme Maker

History (especially Tudor era/English monarchy in general), Greek mythology, comics, blues and jazz music, coming up with new recipes, sewing/basic crafts, French (language/food), Hinduism and world religions in general, sci-fi shows, British sitcoms/dramas, and thinking of getting back into Roman history and/or Russian history.
