Soon we'll be deluged with iPhone 3G S reviews by every US-based geek that has a blog/podcast. I hope we don't have to go through a rerun on the 26th by every English-speaking Japan-based geek with a blog/podcast.
10-year-old girl in north of England releases a balloon with her name/address on it. The balloon touches down in the south of England in the yard of another 10-year-old girl. They both had the same first & last names. WNYC Radio Lab podcast: Dload: http://audio.wnyc.org/radiola...
Please recommend the best client / server communication protocol for an Reversi-like board game that runs in the cloud. The client runs on the Mac / iPhone desktop and the server is programmed in C / Obj-C.
Heard something very disturbing from my friend last night: Some seeds are engineered to produce only once forcing us to buy a new batch of seeds every time we want to grow the corresponding vegetable/fruit.
To me this is a fucking outrage. Another way The Man sucks our lifeblood, enslaves us, and forces us to work for fuckin' ever. God gave us seeds so that we can be self-sufficient. The Man doesn't want that.

The only thing I can say is FUCK YOU to society and establishment.

My ZenV battey life is now too short to last the day. My old Iriver iFP-795 (uses normal batteries) would be the perfect MP3 player if only it had bookmarking function. Because it uses normal batteries you can take it on a weeklong camping trip. Can't do that with any other MP3 player on the market today.
I'm from Johnstown, PA. One of my dreams was to return home with billions of dollars, flood the town to cover the rotting steel mills and create casinos and resorts around the man-made lake. There'd be boating and swimming in the summer (imagine diving to get a look at the old submerged steel mills) and skiing in the winter, with Las Vegas-style entertainment year-round.

My father worked for Bethlehem Steel all of his life. Now many rusty steel mills rot unattended in this valley town that is surrounded by mountains. Johnstown is like a hole in the earth which makes it susceptible to floods. http://tinyurl.com/rd3hj9 There have been three major floods: 1889, 1936 and 1977. 2,200 people were killed in the 1889 flood which was caused by the rich steel...

Diff is that FF "home" is a list & you can choose to add ppl to it. Search of your friends would give all.

Does adding your Twitter account to FriendFeed services bring in only your Tweets or does it also bring in the tweets of all the people you follow on Twitter?
Only your tweets, not those of everyone. And, if you do it the other way, post on FF and have FF repost to Twitter, FF's smart enough to not get into an infinite loop (apparently).

Does anyone else feel like this? I've always detested any job I've ever had so much that as soon as I got home after a workday I had to hide any work peraphiniallia (badges, ID cards, books, etc.) in a dark recess or corner. This was always done, so to speak, to insure that now, my real life can begin. The real me can come out and live, and the...
"job" will not interfere. The reason I felt like this was not so much because the real work of the "job" was distasteful, but because of all the side shit that comes with every job, namely other people; the assholes and egos that have to be dealt with.

I could never understand why unions are so hated. If it weren't for unions the evil company owners would have kept my laborer-steelworker father's wages so low that he wouldn't have been able to put shoes on my feet.
