I use Hostgator and never had a problem with them. They also have great customer service. In my experience, I had 2 problems (my fault not theirs) that I couldn't figure out on my own how to fix. I sent in a ticket and they fixed the problem for me within just a few hours.
- Michael Schofield
Hostgator has worked well for me for years (resellers account).
- Tom
Linda, if you are using WPD, go for Hostgator, it doesn't always work well with Go Daddy etc. For $10/month, unlimited domains, sites, bandwidth, storage. What's not to like :) However, strongly advice to purchase your domains elsewhere. I've been using Go Daddy for domain purchases for years, and they're great.
- Ritesh Lal
thanks all. I decided to go with hostgator after all your good reviews! I bought my domain through 123reg as I already had an account with them. I'm not using WPD as I wasn't too impressed with them in last year's challenge. BTW follow @hostgator on twitter for quick support!

Blog calls this red wine Erotic and suggest a passionate kiss with your lover during the finish among other things. Have never read a wine review quite like this ;)

This is a new blog but it is posting some eyebrow raising videos and commentary on barack obama and the presidential race. It's called hopesforamerica.com[hopesforamerica.com]

Hi Carla, I've been kind of quiet, reading everyone else's thoughts. I had a momentary breakthrough this evening. I kept losing the show, tstorm moving through and market samurai and flock kept freezing up. I think i've finally found my niche, but am working on the logistics. i'm about 4 days behind in implementing, but am almost up to date on listening and watching videos. So much for clients in the first half of my week, at least the last half is filled. How are you doing with all of this?
- Denise Russos
I'll be focusing on research this weekend. So far, the niches that I've found and considered amazing have already been dominated. I wanted to stay close to the niche that I already know, but I'm no longer attached to that either. I have to admit here that I never did market & competition research before, and now that I've learned how important it is, I'm really paying attention. I feel like all the #30dc tools we've been learning will bump us all up a few levels - as soon as we decide on our niches!!!
- Carla Lynne Hall
Carla, my background is in marketing and PR, but SEO is different, in my opinion it's just taking all the guesswork out of marketing! If you want us to help review your niches and give you our .02, you can post your market samurai, but be sure to remove all references to your niche. I'm going to post mine shortly and hope to get feedback.
- Vanessa Constanti
That's a good idea. I have to say that my SEO research with Market Samurai was just so informational. To know what people are searching for *exactly* in my niche really blew my mind. I knew from a general standpoint what they wanted, but to know what a micro-niche actually uses as keywords turned me around 180 degrees. Better late than never...
- Carla Lynne Hall
I love how all the #30dc tools have been organized to work so well together. From Pre-Season to the current Day 06, the #30dc has been optimized for us.

Hi All! I'm up to date with all the #30dc videos, but still unable to access data in the Google external research tool. I'd like to use it more before deciding on my niche. In the meantime, I'm going to watch the Market Samurai tutorials, and review a couple of #30dc videos.
Thanks, Tom! Unfortunately, I had already been using IE anyway for the past 24 hrs (on a borrowed desktop instead of my laptop with my Flock browser) and visiting the Google tool at all hours to check access, but nothing is working for me yet. I figure it's not permanent, but if any other workarounds exist, let me know. Perhaps I'll try another web browser since I have the time...
- Carla Lynne Hall
So I've installed Flock to my borrowed computer, and I have access to data again. Watch out world!!!
- Carla Lynne Hall
It's been wierd, but that evidently is because they've been doing major updates.

rickbutts.com posted a link on Twitter to a very ugly video and post accusing Ed Shaz (Next Instinct) of being a Twitter spammer. Ed is a moderator at the 30dc and a very nice and helpful person. The post did not sit well with Ed, Dan and a bunch of other people. Rick suffered quite a backlash. he was using twitter combined with the post to stir up stuff to get traffic to his blog. backfired I would say. http://rickbutts.com/306...

I only saw the blog apology post, which is curiously missing today. The speed of Twitter (and the internet in general) is so fast that attacking another person online can bite you in the ass before you can say "Google Search". Especially if you don't know what social (media) circles people travel in. The moral of this story: The Golden Rule also works online!
- Carla Lynne Hall
Well, I can't judge people for making mistakes like that personally. I'm too apt to do somthing myself.
- Vanessa Constanti
The first time I tried M.Samurai it didn't work, then I tried it later on a wireless connection and everything worked ok. I initially thought I had been banned or at least filtered for a little while.
- David Walton
Hope all you WaWa members are off and running. I've been playing with Market Samurai. WOW! If you haven't downloaded it you should do so immediately! It's amazing.
I researched 3 niches before google started updating and access was lost. Very nice tool. Particularly the ability to filter results for minimum searches and maximum competition. Huge time saver!
- Tom
I Heard from Scott today. He had a family emergency but he is back. All should be hearing from him soon. See you in tonights 30dc T.V. if your in the chat.
Just finished watching the show! I'm hopping to get out tomorrow and enjoy B&N. I've been struggling a bit with idea generation, but tonight's show helped with that some. If any of you can enlighten me I'd appreciate it. Are we all supposed to have separate ideas and separate business from this, or are we supposed to work together to build one for the challenge? Sorry, I did say I was a newbie. Thanks.
- Denise Russos
Hi Denise - we are supposed to have our own ideas or existing business if you have one. We don't create a biz as a group. We do help each other out in social book marking, getting the word out and offering advice on things we may be experienced with. Besides you are not a rank "newbie" I've seen your 3/10 rank websitee, helium pages and wordpress page. We should have you organizing us!
- Tom
Hey Tom, I love to write. That's for sure. I just watched Ed's video on the whole process "maximum edge" Of course I kept pausing it to get it all down in a notebook! I am beginning to think that if I can focus for a few days (dump clients? nah) I can finish my book, get it to the printers and be ready to put a page up marketing it. That was the plan two months ago just for credibility in my field. I'm thinking if I can follow Ed;s thought process that I need several things going at once.
- Denise Russos
p.s. thanks tom, you're the bomb! yes it's an old term! lol
- Denise Russos
awww, now I feel young at 48! lol You're not old, just experienced.....
- Denise Russos
Double awww, I'm 43, so you guys are leading the pack being older and wiser.... How old is Scott anyway...I think he's about 15? (:-) (:-)
- Meng Fong
I have a few niche ideas, but I'm not committed to anything. According to the latest video, we don't have to decide on the idea before August 1st, but to start thinking about them. I'm looking forward to getting started. Anyone out there in Team WaWa with their idea generation juices flowing? Would any of you experienced challengers like to chime in about past experiences? Lessons learned?
- Carla Lynne Hall
Lessons learned? Don't get emotionally attached to and idea, niche or product.
- Tom
I notice that Julia had asked to join Team WaWa on the forum thread. Did anyone reply to her? I guess Tom or Scott should. Whoever has authority invite someone to the team. I hope everyone is fired up and ready. It all begins on Friday! Wahoo! Or is that WaWahoo?
I used the software that came with my Logitech webcam - and then used Camtasia to render it as AVI - honestly - I don't know what I'm doing. The important thing is, I did something, I took action - and got my video entry uploaded by Sunday evening...
- SteveH
I have the latest camtasia and still use Jing often. It's great having it sitting on your desktop ready to make a quick tutorial for a client.
