You see it all the time. Paralysis by analysis - thinking about an activity way too much to actually be able to do it. Awkward ball room dancers, clumsy photographers, reluctant artists, ungraceful athletes. Too much thinking, too little doing. Brain body connection run amok. - Tom Landini

Fortunately, promising research science efforts are making progress in helping the severely disabled with something called neuroprosthetics or neural prosthetics. That is, they are developing technology that can augment the nervous system’s ability to control movement. - Tom Landini

I guess I'm not a digital native, being on the leading edge of the baby boom. But I don't feel like a digital immigrant, either. I mean, I love doing stuff online now, but I've always taken to doing things digitally. But a lot of others not born into the digital age aren't so enthusiastic or adaptable. Digital immigrants, really, if you want to stretch the metaphor. - Tom Landini

If you'd like to learn more about internet marketing, this is a good blog to read. Well written, thoughtful posts. Yes, it's pretty commercial (offers to sell you IM stuff), but not hard sell. Seems to revolve around conversations with people and a genuine desire to serve the needs they express. - Tom Landini

When I think of the brain body connection, I usually don't think about flies. Those annoying household pests aren't high on my list for either intelligence or brawn. But I have to admit they are speedy little insects; much faster than me when I try to swat one. - Tom Landini

From the page: "What happens to the brain body connection when one or the other is damaged? Adaptation is the answer, as it has always been. But todayâ€s developing technologies provide new choices. One of them is to substitute one part or function for the damaged one. Thanks to brain plasticity, this can work quite well." - Tom Landini

The thing about the brain body connection is a brain isn't just a brain, and a body isn't just a body. I've never seen one walking around without the other. An eye can't do the vision thing without the meat and nerves being connected; neither can an ear or any other sense. - Tom Landini

The brain body connection is more than one connection. There are many of them; exactly how many is anyone's bet. But one that has fascinated me lately is the brain body connection afforded by mirror neurons - Tom Landini

Scoble interviews Avinash Kaushik of Google. I learned a lot about using Google Analytics in a half hour, as well as some other tools. But the main thing I got out of this is stuff like active keyword research and analytics really does put you on the cutting edge of this business. There really ARE huge inefficiencies in all kinds of markets, and we're learning how to capitalize on that. - Tom Landini via Bookmarklet

Science fiction notwithstanding, you never see a brain walking around without a body attached to it. Or vice versa, though you wonder about some people, don't you? Body and brain just go together: they are inseparable. - Tom Landini
