Running from Saturday July 4th to Sunday July 26th 2009, the 96th Tour de France will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,500 kilometres.
Stage 21: Montereau-Fault-Yonne to Paris Champs-Élysées: The quiet party stage to paris and the Champs-Élysées. Let the champagne corks fly. Show off the jerseys, say goodbye to friends. Then comes the race eight times round the Champs. Will it be a sprint finish or will a finisheur thwart the plans of the sprinters?
Peloton is now in Paris coming up on the Champs Elysees. Now we are going to have 8 rounds of fun racing at high speed. I'm gonna have a beer and enjoy the racing :-)
- Rasmus Lauridsen
It's fast. The peloton on the streets of Paris -- just beautiful.
- Chris Baskind
George Hincape is about to punch his time card and go to work. :-)
- Chris Baskind
Yup they are going to have to start pulling harder very soon or the breakaway will make it...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Yeah, it's time to roll. As the announcer just said, Columbia has no friends today. ;-)
- Chris Baskind
Hehe yeah Thor's people aren't going to help :-P He like it just the way it is right now
- Rasmus Lauridsen
This is great. Columbia is doing the job.
- Chris Baskind
Yup they got it under control. But now is when its going to get fun... Lets see if anyone will do a bit of attacking when these guys are in... Only a couple of people that are able to ... Cancellara maybe...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Waiting to see someone attacks from the peloton now.
- Chris Baskind
Great finish! One of the most enjoyable––if not outright best––Tours I've yet to see.
- Akiva Moskovitz
only thing that could have made it better was a contador that was a bit more human. :-P
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Yeah, that's my only complaint about him. I find it very difficult to connect with him on a sympathetic level. Even Armstrong I had difficulty with because it seemed like his win was secured before the first pedal turn but with Contador, it's nearly impossible.
- Akiva Moskovitz
yeah and hes that spanish me me me type. I have a big problem with those. Carlos Sastre was a good guy, but then he won the tour and turned into the same thing. Lance I always loved, even if he did also have a bit of ME mentality. The new Armstrong I think I have a man crush on because he's just so damn cool!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
I don't like Contador, but he's currently the man. Does everything well, and will probably go on to win more Tours. A very satisfying comeback for Armstrong -- quite an achievement for him. But the very best part of the Tour, for me, is getting a look at the next generation of talent. There were some remarkable young cyclists in the peloton this year. The French, British, and Italians have good riders again. The Tour is alive and well.
- Chris Baskind
Indeed! The crazy number of people who showed up on Ventoux is evidence of that. I just wish that Cavendish was a better climber. If he was, he would easily be the next Armstrong. And I really, really like watching Cavendish race.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Yup we are going to have a close race next year. Schleck, Armstrong, Nibali, Contador, Wiggins and the list goes on.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Bette is saying we have to go down there next year or the next after that...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Oh, and congratulations to Arashiro and Beppu! First Japanese riders to complete the Tour.
- Akiva Moskovitz
And he made a giant show of it today with a breakaway that lasted five or six rounds :-)
- Rasmus Lauridsen
This room definitely enhanced my enjoyment of the Tour this year. I enjoyed sharing the race with you folks. :-)
- Chris Baskind
I think that's part of what made this finish such a good one: the spotlight was shared by and highlighted many different riders. Beppu in the breakaway, Lance's brief burst of speed, the awesome finish by Cavendish and his lead-out man Renshaw.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Woah, and the Lanterne Rouge finished this stage in fifth!
- Akiva Moskovitz
LOL that is the Danish!! national anthm! They played the danish national anthem for Contador... What a screwup...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
No audio here, but it looks as if they are playing the Spanish national anthem with Contador onstage.
- Chris Baskind
The audio was definitely my national anthem and I'm not Spanish :-P
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Announcer says the anthem that played during the team presentation was that of Kazakhstan. Yeah, I'm thinking you'd know your own anthem. ;-)
- Chris Baskind
Ahh well atleast they finsihed the race and ceremony with some good fun :-P We haven't had a winner since 1996 so you would think they had changed it since :-P
- Rasmus Lauridsen
The broadcast is ending here. On to transfer season, the Vuelta -- and 2010. :-)
- Chris Baskind
yeah transfer season is going to be exciting this year! Who will Lance steal for his new team? I'm think Hincapie is going to take another season...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
I would be shocked if Leipheimer doesn't follow Lance to Team Radio Shack, at least.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Stage 20: Montélimar to Mont Ventoux: This stage doesn't really need an intro! Mont Ventoux is a mountain full of drama, and drama we have been promised. The Schlecks have called for the third place on the podium. Will Lance prevail and keep his third place? Will the Schlecks really be able to do it? Who will take the stage?
Iban Mayo has the fastest time up the mountain. 56 minutes.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
16 man breakaway: Hayden Roulston (CTT) Juan Manuel Garate (RAB) Joost Posthuma (RAB) Tony Martin (THR) Christophe Riblon (ALM) Aleksandr Kuschynski (LIQ) Anthony Geslin (FDJ) Samuel Dumoulin (COF) Daniele Righi (LAM) William Bonnet (BBO) Maxime Bouet (AGR) Cyril Lemoine (SKS) Albert Timmer (SKS) Mickael Delage (SIL) Ruben Perez (EUS) José Ivan Gutierrez (GCE)
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Saxo Bank has taken the lead in the peloton. Looks liek they want to control the gap, so Andy can try for the stage win. Yesterday he did say he would like to take it, but who wouldn't really?
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Distance now down to 8'07" slowly reeling in the breakaway to a manageable distance.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Now Astana has taken the lead in the peloton. Contador putting his ticket in for the stage?
- Rasmus Lauridsen
If you need coffee, soda, pop, cake, candy, pee, poop, any kind of break. Now is the time to do it! 10 km to the mountain.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Peloton straining under the Astana pressure. Split in at least two groups.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Looks like Sastre might be caught in the second group.. So not his tour this year
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Now its Cancellara pulling, the diesel in the front.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Tomorrow I will not online. I want to thanks for your job in these days, I hope you will be here for other races. Danmark Tour?
- ottanta/cento
Thank you Ottanta, possibly here, but I'm not sure I will be as invested in that one :-P The tour is special to me. Also have to start making ready for going back to school. Have a lot of studying to do :-P
- Rasmus Lauridsen
I've enjoyed these posts -- let's do it next year! Tomorrow, Paris. Cantador thoroughly deserves his win. But I'll be thrilled to see Lance on the podium again. He's back. :-)
- Chris Baskind
Must admit I was routing for Fränk Schleck but I am happy to see Lance up there, an amazing comeback. I can't wait to be here again next year with all the good riders who will have their own teams..
- Rasmus Lauridsen
I hope we can continue talking about cycling here during the rest of year.
- ottanta/cento
Yeah would be a shame if the cycling community disappeared just because the tour was over.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Stage 19: Bourgoin-Jallieu to Aubenas: Some might think of this as an in between stage, but it does have a nice little cat 2 mountain towards the end. So definitely not a sprint finish stage. More like a typical breakaway stage. So who will get in a breakaway today? Will any of the favorites try to break out of the place they are in?
14:35 CET: A large breakaway has formed among them Cadel Evans, Millar and Luis Leon Sanchez. Rabobank for some reason pulling the peloton.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Breakaway: Cadel Evans (SIL) Jaroslav Popovych (AST) David Millar (GRM) Ruben Perez Moreno (EUS) Kim Kirchen (THR) José Luis Arrieta (ALM) Christophe Riblon (ALM) Nicolas Roche (ALM) Daniele Bennati (LIQ) David Arroyo (GCE) Jose Ivan Gutierrez (GCE) Luis Leon Sanchez (GCE) Leonardo Duque (COF) Simon Spilak (LAM) Sylvain Chavanel (QST) Carlos Barredo (QST) Nicolai Trussov (KAT) Stijn Vandenbergh (KAT) Geoffroy Lequatre (AGR) Jonathan Hivert (SKS)
- Rasmus Lauridsen
14:49 CET: Looks like its going to be a quiet day until the Cat 2.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15:40 CET: Some of the breakaway has been pulled in only, David Millar, Samuel Dumoulin, Jaroslav Popovych, Jose Luis Arrieta and José Ivan Gutierrez are left out there.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15:50 CET: The breakaway has been pulled in by the Rabobank/milram effort. First time this tour we see Rabobank do ANYTHING. Lets hope they can still help Oscar Freire to do something good after the hill.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Duque looks like he's decided not to give up just yet.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
The sprint teams are setting a high speed over the hill. Many people dropping off the back of the peloton.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
They are hoping to get rid of Cavendish so the Freire, Hushovd might have chance.
- Rasmus Lauridsen

The official announcement: Lance Armstrong, LIVESTRONG partner with Radio Shack to form a new pro cycling team (Video) http://www.livestrong.com/lance-a...
No specifics on personnel, but the video clearly indicates that this is a continuation of the current Astana team. VeloNews reports Nike and Trek are in. No comment from Contador, who is rumored to have other plans. Sounds as if Team Radio Shack will also be doing triathlon and running. VeloNews article: http://www.velonews.com/article...
- Chris Baskind
It's pretty obvious if you ask me, that Contador will not be riding for this team. He will stay with Astana together with Vino when he comes back. You can't have to personalities like Lance and Contador on the same team without it breaking up the team. Lance demands a respect that he will not get from Alberto.. Nike and Trek are naturals to follow Lance since they have been personal...

Stage 18: Annecy to Annecy: 40.5 km time trial around France's second biggest lake. According to Armstrong one of the most beautiful places in France if not the world. We have time trial specialists against people who are still less tired than others. So will it be the specialists day in the rain? or will it be one of the all-rounders?
Yeah I saw, but then again he did empty himself completely yesterday. I am leaning towards Wiggins or Lance himself.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
As the transmission starts Fabian Cancellara just set the fastest time. 00:48:34 Thats the time to beat for now. He was complaining pre race that he was tired, but he seems to have found a bit of energy.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
David Zabriskie in in fouth best time with 49'32"
- Rasmus Lauridsen
So now we are starting on the favorites. Number 10 Le Mevel just started out.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Wiggins is off, Hes the one I fear most for the Schlecks ...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Lance did really good also. But Andy Schleck kept his 2nd really good run by him also!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Lance has the 3rd place, really good but he has some better climbers close after him. Lets see how Ventoux shakes the bag. Contador has enough time that he should be able to let Lance attack maybe...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Stage 17: Bourg-Saint-Maurice to Le Grand-Bornand: The hardest stage of this years tour! Four yes four Cat 1 mountains plus one Cat 2. This terrain cries for attacks on Contador. Will the Schlecks finally crack the spaniard and his astonishing Astana team? Will Sastre do a long one? Will Contador find one second where he will be able to relax?
12:31 CET: David Arroyo and Linus Gerdeman wants a long day out in front. A small crash in the peloton but noone seems hurt.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
12:44 CET: Cadel Evans already falling off the back of the peloton. He has been complaining that he doesn't feel right and hes going to see a doc when he gets back to Australia. It's a shame he was one to look for before the tour.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
12:59 CET: Front group formed: Jurgen Van Den Broeck (SIL) Denis Menchov (RAB) David Zabriskie (GRM) Franco Pellizotti (LIQ) Sandy Casar (FDJ) Rigoberto Uran (GCE) Remy Pauriol (COF) Sylvain Chavanel (QST) Geoffroy Lequatre (AGR) Ruben Perez (EUS)
- Rasmus Lauridsen
13:06 CET: Still quiet back at the peloton, the favorites are getting dressed since the rain has set in.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
13:13 CET: Hushovd! has joined Voeckler in an attack. He is probably going to try to get up so he can catch a few more points for his green gob.. uhmm jersey.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
13:20 CET: Hushovd is up with the leaders. He is going to take points! Amazing
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Thor Hushovd I take back anything I've said about you being a crybaby. Attacking from the front to make sure he gets the points. Maybe they should boot Ryan Reynolds and cast Thor Hushovd for the Green Lantern.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
13:49 CET: Contador has a flat. Slow slow Astana mechanic.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
13:51 CET: Changing bikes. Noone is going to attack its the yellow Jersey. ou don't attack when the Jersey has a defect. Luxury helper Klöden pulling him up.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
14:20 CET: Thor is over the mountain with 1'20" down to the pursuers. Saxo setting the speed in the peloton.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15:02 CET: Thor almsot crashed in a bend, when the chase group got there they had a crash. I hope someone will stay there to warn the Peloton. This is a dangerous descent!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15:07 CET: Menchov crashes in the lead group. A typical white line crash.. :-( Doesn't look like he's hurt
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15:31 CET: People are dropping like flies on the Cat 2 climb. Evans, Kirchen .. Slowly they all fall off the peloton.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15:45 CET: Kenny Van Hummel, the long time straggler at the back of the GC has just left the race. A shame to see a guy with that much heart leave the race.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
16:06 CET: They are now on the steepest mountain in this years tour. Col De Romme. The pressure is on!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
16:07 CET: Carlos Sastre attacking from the bottom of Col De Romme
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Saxo bank working on pulling in their old captain. Fascinating mountain if they keep this up!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
The peloton is totally blown up. The Saxo bomb has fallen
- Rasmus Lauridsen
16:11 CET: Andy is leading the favorites groupAstana still has about three or four riders left
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Favorites are really suffering Andy might be looking a bit weak!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
16:14 CET: Nibali falling off from the favorites group.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Armstrong looking good! He's following the group without any trouble
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Lets not forget Nibali sitting with Armstrong... Him and Wiggins are the great surprises of this tour. Avanti Nibali (not sure f my italien)
- Rasmus Lauridsen
yes this is why I can't stay away from watching this race
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Lol Nibali was listening and has attacked on the downhill
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Here comes the finish! Will they get it or will Conta take it...
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Fränk Schleck takes the stage!!!!! Congrats !!!! This is soooo beautiful!!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
What a great finish for the Schleck brothers! Very sporting of Contador, too. And, man, Armstrong may not be going for the win this year, he is riding like a champion. Unbelievable!
- Akiva Moskovitz
Andy Looked even more Happy than Fränk ... What a gene pool!
- Rasmus Lauridsen
What a rush this stage was. The drama was neverending on the last two mountains. The Schlecks are amazing Contador is scary. Armstrong is showing what a great champion he is. Klödi almost had enough to follow. This is racing of the finest kind! WOW
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Just saw an interview with Brian Holm in the Columbia car that Hincapie had a bad spill and according to himself he's hurt his shoulder. He's still on the bike though.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Bah. I've rooted for Garmin since they started, so I'll hang with the Argyle for now. But I thought that was pissy and unsportsmanlike. Waiting for the other cleat to drop on the Johan Bruyneel exit from Astana. I'm betting I'll have another choice when it comes to rooting for US-based teams next season. ;-)
- Chris Baskind
Yeah according to Lance they have another American sponsor lined up and we will learn more tomorrow. Uhhh :-)
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Have you seen how early it starts tomorrow? The stage starts at 03.20 am pst. I've been wanting to move to the states for the longest time.. Now I don't :-p
- Rasmus Lauridsen
from iPhone
I tried to do that with Wibledon. I ended up falling a sleep in the middle of the match. Luckily there was a rain delay. ;)
- Amir
I'm lucky the Elfstedentocht (the most famous ice skate race in the Netherlands) doesn't happen that often. That also starts quite early. And the evening before it everybody is just totally nervous and excited.
- Ton Zijp
Stage 16: Martigny to Bourg-Saint-Maurice: Two big climbs on todays stage The big and the small St Bernhard. An extremely hard stage with the highest climb on this tour. Will Contador again try and break the peloton? Will the Schlecks break Contador? Will someone else make it a fun day in Switzerland, Italy and France?
13:25 CET: big breakaway Cancellara and Voigt from Saxo Bank. Two big engines with pilling power Down Hill and on flats. This smells like a schleck offensive.
- Rasmus Lauridsen

Hmpf, the broadcast of today's stage in the Tour is gonna start in 50 minutes. While I'm not ready for it yet. I didn't even take a shower. That's not the respect those cyclists deserve.
I won't be with my computer today or following on TV. I will have to make due with my iphone. So anyone know a good site for following today's stage, from one of those?
Yes that was Contador, it was a beautiful vision.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Agreed. The crowd is out of control in the mountain stages. It's dangerous for the riders, the fans, the support vehicles, etc. They really should put barricades up anywhere that crowds are likely to gather.
- Jason Huebel
Agreed. Deliriously sloshed, over-zealous spectators don't mix with cyclists hurtling along at 80kph!
- Rick Cogley
You would think that with incidents like the shooting of a couple of riders with BB guns a few days ago the TDF would start to think about putting a bit of distance between fans and riders.
- Kevin Pedraja
They simply can't police miles and miles of road like that.
- Akiva Moskovitz
Sure they can. Put up barriers and have motorcycle cops riding up and down.
- Rochelle
LOL, so Audrey's sleeping through the night now, eh? I missed the Tour today too. I'll probably just check the standings every day at this point. I've kind of lost interest.
- Jason Huebel
LOL I won't even be here tomorrow and its a big stage :-( We are taking my wife's old old dachshund to the vet. He's they found out last week that he's got cancer and there isn't much they can do :-( So no running comment tomorrow :-(
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Jason, heck no. She wakes up about 3 times per night to eat, and is usually up for the day at 6AM. With the Tour, we've been getting up at 3-5AM to watch it live, but since it wasn't on today, I stayed in bed until 6AM, when she woke up.
- Rochelle
I am by no means an expert but hasn't there been an unusual number of successful break-aways this year? I can't recall so many riders crossing the finish line alone even on flat stages.
- Akiva Moskovitz
I don't think so. There are always little breakaways here and there. If the riders in the breakaway aren't an issue for GC contenders, then they're generally allowed to stay ahead. That's been true of previous years and seemed to happen often.
- Jason Huebel
Appearantly Cavendish called Garmin arrogant before the Giro. When Garmin said before TTT that now their season started.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Brian Holm from Columbia, told TV2 that Garmin specifically went up there to pull in Hincapie. They went around the peloton asking for allies. It's really really despicable, that his own training mates, from Girona, like Zabriskie are pulling him out of the yellow.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Yesterday's chase of Hincape is still bothering me. I asked about it on the Garmin blog today, but there's no telling if the comment will be approved, much less answered: http://www.slipstreamsports.com/2009...
- Chris Baskind
Stage 15: Pontarlier to Verbier: Today its going to happen! Lance is promiseing "fireworks" on his twitter. Today four Cat 3, One Cat 2 and then Verbier awaits. Finally a stage finish on the top, so today we will see attacks! Will we see a new GC form today? Who will be the victor? Lance? Contador? Schleck? Klöden? Someone else?
14:08 CET: They are now 10 in the group. Hesjedal pulled in and Flecha has made it up to the group.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Hei, Rasmus. Lance twitted before start: "Big day today. Expect fireworks". Agree?
- ottanta/cento
Yes definitely on the last mountain they will make it fun. But I need to temper my expectations here. When I have high hopes in this tour the stages turn BORING :-P
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15:12 CET: The front group has 4:36 down to the peloton on the way up the second to last mountain. We can speculate that Cancellara (Saxo Bank) and Van Den Broeck (lotto) are there to help their team captains later on the last mountain.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
15.40 CET: Fabian Cancellara much better down hill than his breakaway comrades. Doesn't really look like an attack .. The others are just slow.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
16:23 CET: Nearing the last climb. 8.8 km 7.5% The breakaway has 3 minutes down to the peloton. Hopefully now we will have some fun up the mountain.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
16:50 CET: First man on the mountain, Spilak, 40" ahead of a four man group with Van Den Broeck and Cancellara. Saxo Bank setting a hard tempo in the peloton.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Nocintini 2:36 Good job for a non GC rider in yellow
- Rasmus Lauridsen
So the captain of Astana has been found. Lance could not follow when Contador put the pedal to the metal. A shame, but thats how it looks right now.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
+1 Rasmus, looks Contador is the man now. Sad to see the end of an era, but it doesn't look like Armstrong can hang with the younger guys anymore.
- Jason Huebel
He left a lot of "younger guys" behind. It's still a rather amazing comeback, though I wish he'd been able to summon the old dominance today. And he may yet have a surprise in store. But Contador was untouchable. Bradley Wiggins is one of the reasons I've been pulling for Garmin, btw. He's got the goods.
- Chris Baskind
"Five years after the professional cycling world began allowing women to compete in the three month long Tour de France, the cycling world was stunned when a twenty one year old law student from Long Island, New York became the first woman in the 105 year history of the race to wear the coveted yellow jersey. But the victory did not come without incident."

The zoomed version of the picture included with this article may be considered NSFW to some since the model is wearing a thong (which is why I didn't include it here).
- Jason Huebel
I just saw that, Jason. Interesting, she's riding a mountain bike...
- Zach Landes
Yeah, uphill and the timed prologue stages.
- Alex Scoble
Yes uphill is one of his wins, but its more of Contadors win normally. But we can hope that the drama is gettting to him. Lance we know will not be affected in any way.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
So we know now that Lance doesn't have it in the mountains. Contador destroyed the rest of the field today. Versus is about to interview Lance, so I'm interested to see what he says.
- Jason Huebel
In any case, Lance is still doing quite well compared to expectations.
- Mike Reynolds
Yeah he's amazing and really representing his cause well. I love the new Lance that is so much more open to the people around him. Now if the french press would just get their collective heads out of their asses and cut him some slack.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Doubt he'll win but he's doing awesome for his age and being out of the sport for 3 years. Contador looks unstoppable. Wiggins is surprisingly good and Schleck could still pull something out of a hat.
- AJ Kohn
not a chance - Contador is the best climber in the Tour, and he can create enough distance over Lance to negate Lance's time trial skills - the question is whether or not Astana can finish 1-2-3
- William Harryman
Well, Contador certainly proved himself today. And Lance admitted he can't win the Tour. He'll still be competitive, though. It's all about getting Contador to the end now and making sure someone on Astana brings home the Mayo Journe.
- Jason Huebel
Yup, Contador is in his prime and was absolutely dominating. Not how I wanted it to be -- and Lance's comeback remains impressive -- but Contador was by far the strongest today. He will almost certainly win the Tour.
- Chris Baskind
"Mark Cavendish has given up hope of claiming the green jersey at the Tour De France after he was docked points for dangerous sprinting."

Lol anyone remember Abdudjabarov? Thor would be a nervous wreck if he had been in the same peloton as him. I actually have Thor on my manager team but in this case he's jsut a big crybaby.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
It's really a shame. Cavendish was dominating. Probably why Thor used these underhanded means of taking him out of the running.
- Jason Huebel
Wow, Lance just admitted that he's "not on par with what's needed to win the Tour." He said that he's not in the running to win the Tour now, but that his goal is to work within the team to bring home the Mayo Journe at the end of the race.
That's kind of what I expected from him, honestly; I thought he was coming on in a support role. I would've been shocked if he took another Tour victory.
- Akiva Moskovitz
But wouldn't that have been an awesome achievement! But yeah, I'm not surprised that he's taking on a support role. This doesn't belittle him in any way. He's still in second place overall and only about a minute and a half back from Contador. That's crazy good for someone who's 37 years old and been away from the sport for 4 years.
- Jason Huebel
It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the Alps play out. We'll be up at 3am for the next two stages to see.
- Akiva Moskovitz
For once I like living in Europe :-P I'll be there at about noon :-P
- Rasmus Lauridsen
@Akiva. Wow, it starts that early the next couple of days? Going to have to DVR that. I'm not an early riser.
- Jason Huebel
