Re: A Walk Through Canons Park - http://www.travelnwork.info/2009...
"good point Stephen, my children have enjoyed some of the amenities you speak of...and the cafe works well around tea time. The only challenge now is that the place is packed with children at peak times. When we go we try to plan to go off peak to avoid the crowd." - John

"You were right! When I did register I didn't get to see the doctor, however the duty doctor did call me several hours later. He prescribe migraine tablets after listening to my symptoms over the phone. In the end the tablets didn't work...and the headache has at least temporarily subsided. At least I'm registered now and maybe next time will have a fighting chance of seeing the doctor on short notice." - John

"I will have to defer on the topic of hotels. I have always stayed with friends when visiting in the past. Expect a small room. People that have stayed here for work from the States are sometimes put off by the small room and want to opt for one of the well known chains in the future. I have stayed at a Novotel outside of London and that was a good experience." - John

"Are you able to insist on having a Caesarian under the NHS? In New York and New Jersey where we had our first two children a Caesarian was only available to us in case a vaginal birth could not work. This may have been down to our insurance, although they were quality by most standards." - John

Re: Finding a Place to live in the UK - http://www.travelnwork.info/2009...
"I just gave your suggestion a go. I searched for a property for rent in Stanmore with 4 bedrooms. It returned 27 properties. Then I added a garden to the criteria and it reduced it to 19 properties. I clicked on one it showed it had a garden. Maybe there are some searches that do not work correctly, but for me it worked fine. As far as data protection for Globrix - The 'full' details regarding this can be read here http://www.nidp.com/ In summary, your information will be shared with many groups and you will have little control over where it goes. They do say regarding third parties "We would like to share your information with organisations who are our business partners. They may contact you by mail or telephone to let you know about any goods, services or promotions, which may be of interest to you. We will always give you an option to opt out at the point where you give us your details. We will never supply your information to a third party for marketing purposes if you tell us not..." - John
