Heh. I'd only ever had fresh milk that a friend's dad made, and it was awful. Sweetened, in other things, it's pretty inoffensive.

Some brands are horrible, but I stick with Silk and Vitasoy -- those taste pretty good.

I still drink mostly 2% cow's milk as the barbarian that I am but am being slowly converted to soy. I agree those 2 brands are much better than some. Did try some hemp milk recently but it was just not right, esp. for the price.

A Scalable Inman Flash Replacement (sIFR) plugin for jQuery; basically, it replaces inline text in your web page (such as blog titles) with more attractive, Flash-rendered versions. This technique allows you to use custom fonts in browsers that don't support CSS3's font specifications, and perhaps more importantly allows you to antialias the text in a predictable manner.

unintentionally. Old woman is taking out 100s of 20s (limit?) and she accidentally drops them on the ground, luckily no wind. A youngish guy walks up to her and starts picking up the money, and then looks at me sheepishly, and stays with her.

Then they go to the back of the ATM line to "do some more transactions" and she told me, "you can go first."

this is the cable-car turnaround so there's all kind of hucksters there. I think what's going on is that he's getting her to get cash for him, the age difference was upwards 40 years. She seemed *really out of it* and it took her 10 minutes to just get the cash out in the beginning (before line formed.)

could just be that my urban-scam antennae are just too alert. But getting back in line? That was weird. Like, he feels guilty or something. Guilty of what? Hmmm.
