Going to meet some girls at Panera Bread for dessert... we're getting together because one of our friends who moved is back in town and wanted to get together. I'm conflicted about bringing my laptop. Free wi-fi and all. Should I geek out? Or will it be rude?
ha ha ha! thanks Yolanda! teetering on my fence more towards it now...
- Trish Haley
If you are there to meet friends, I'd say that it's ok to use the laptop while you are waiting for them to arrive, but shouldn't use it while they are there.
- Alex Scoble
That's what I was thinking, Alex, so I better get going then so I arrive 15 minutes before appointed time.
- Trish Haley
You can share the geek as well should the opportunity arise. :D
- Arlan Koizumi
I love that my best friends in No. CA are planning a dressy outfit for me to wear. They say I can't wear boots. They feel bad for my lack of fashion sense.
Actually, she ate chili mac and is sporting ground beef in between her teeth. Thanks, tho. I would feel differently if it were strawberries!
- Trish Haley
She got it everywhere! Did it make it to her hair? :)
- Aden
Yes, and used it as eyeshadow, too. :)
- Trish Haley
Heh heh, I saw the strawberry picture in the blog heading and got confused! I have way too many pictures of my daughter covered in food.
- Stephen Mack
Trish any of you out-of-state people i know in real life on skype?
How awesome! It looks you guys had fun. Yay for Friend Feed meetings!
- Aden
We had a good time. The kids loved the little devil ducks she brought. And now I have a ton of books to read-- she brought a rubbermaid full for me.
- Trish Haley
*facepalm* Just spend the money on a speed pass
- Josh Haley
That's great Josh, but this maps out for you the best route so that you have time to watch fireworks, etc. at the end.
- Trish Haley
Heh, it was only a matter of time, before stuff like this arrived...
- Tyson Key
I haven't, but I'm not a Disneyland fan either. What's the point of this exactly? It seems everything they mention you can get for free from the Disney fan-blogs.
- Anika Malone
I just found this on about.com and haven't been to any disney fan-blogs. I am not a fan of Disneyland either, but my two BFFs are and my daughters have never been... so... just trying to plan a day there and milk those expensive tickets for all they're worth.
- Trish Haley
I think you'd be better off looking at the fan blogs. The obsessed ones have details down to what time to arrive to maximize your trip.
- Anika Malone
OK, am searching google fan blogs right now. If you have links handy, please share. Thanks Anika!
- Trish Haley
upon further research... FASTPASS can sell out and only apply to certain rides and last for a one hour period... sounds stressful.
- Trish Haley
Hmm, I bet all this will be moot, once it reaches a critical mass of people who not only know about it, but are willing to fall for the ploy...
- Tyson Key
To which do you refer Tyson? The software or the fastpass?
- Trish Haley
Well, it seems that the software could only increase awareness and then help everyone to be more efficient. But then again, if it's software, I'm sure someone somewhere has shared it like the Neiman Marcus cookie recipe.
- Trish Haley
Janet makes award winning strawberry jam!
- Trish Haley
You are so cute and I totally want some strawberry jam now! Your incredible smile makes a great sell :)
- joey
What kind of bread is that? And man, I am now hungry!
- Mona Nomura
HEy, joey! You're the cute one. You cornered the market on cute even when you sweat. Mona! It's really dense white bread that my 12-year-old made in the bread machine--second try WITH the paddles in.
- Trish Haley
That bread looks AWESOME and I can NOT believe you have 12 year old. Wow!! And you are so ultra cute Trish. :)
- Mona Nomura
Whoa, you have a 12-year-old? You look like 16 or something! And thanks, but I think the ladies of FF have an ever-expanding cute bazaar. Seriously, love that smile. Gorgeous.
- joey
Gosh, we go to the pool and MJ dies? Wow. Cee Bee it has been in the 100s, but there's kind of a breeze and it's overcast so mainly it's just nice to be able to sweat in public.
- Trish Haley
The tree one didn't know it was going to be a tree until the last... I started with Zoe's name, then Zack, then Seth, then Sarah, then me, then Josh.
- Trish Haley
She probably got it from her dad. He was always asking for 'more' when we were kids. And since he was the adorable baby of the family, he often got more of whatever it was that he wanted. But that's the joy of being the baby, something that Zoe will have to milk for life!!!
- Morgan Haley
Morg, I think we need to nip that in the bud. She has discovered that crying will get her a lot of turned heads. The milking has begun.
- Trish Haley
See? It's too late now. She's the baby and that's that. The only way you will have any chance of fixing her is to have another baby. And I don't know if that is in the cards. But tell Zoe from uncle Morgan: Hey, whaddaya crying for anyway? When I was a kid, we didn't cry! We couldn't afford the water for the tears! When we were sad about something, you know what we did? I'll give you a hint...We didn't CRY....we took those negative feelings and pushed them down deep, where nobody can find them...until...
- Morgan Haley
It was easier to eat without sauce, but we had gravy on it. It wasn't bad.
- Trish Haley
I had some on rice with brown gravy. Damn if it wasn't tasty.
- Josh Haley
And yes, Pea... definitely All-American style is best.
- Trish Haley
i would break the spaghetti into shorter lengths, i'm thinking it would work out better when it came time to eat. also, less pasta and more sausage that way.
- Dead Silence
I put cut up hog dogs in my macaroni and cheese all the time. This wouldn't be that much different, I guess, although with no sauce at all? Not sure.
- Jandy
This was my first time eating hot dogs and pasta. I've never had them in macaroni and cheese... I think a cheese sauce would go great, Jandy.
- Trish Haley
I MADE THESE THE OTHER DAY!!!! And yes, they are just as awesome and as fun as it looks. I got cheeky and put cheese on top, too. Om nom nom!
- Will Higgins™
The Texas issue of Saveur is very good... there's a nice article on Whole Foods, lots on BBQ, and a Strawberry Kolache recipe. Thanks Michelle!
