I like slideshare but honestly if your slides can stand alone then you've missed the point of presenting.
If you want to tell a story try using a different format than 40 slides. Blog posts, pdfs, something. - Keith - @tsudo
If you are sharing a presentation so people in the room can ref the slides later than that is wonderful, but when did Slideshare become a content. Am I missing something? - Keith - @tsudo
If you want to really rock an audience, get those 40 slides all together, give handouts, then do the presentation without any AV, no project, maybe a whiteboard. And YOU. Get the content, get it in sequence, even if you miss a slide or two. YOU are the value in the presentation, and if you can pull that off, you hit a homerun. And from my experience, the people in the room will NEVER forget you. Been there. Done that. - Ken Camp
Nice idea. Even if you are in a tech conference you can link to the slideshare. I don't discound the value of a well designed presentation but so often people link to a slideshare and its little more than titles OR it is intended to be read not presented. - Keith - @tsudo
Perhaps its a new form of a graphical blog post. I'm not sure. Just trying to understand the trend. - Keith - @tsudo
