Still persevering with Twitter? You're not alone. Come here to complain, commiserate, praise, or otherwise discuss our favorite and most hated site. Don't tweet here, though; use your Twitter stream for that. Random messages and spam—links or not—are subject to random deletion.
Help! I'm looking for a way to bulk block spammers and bots. I know there are programs to bulk unfollow, but are there apps that will do the same for junk followers?
I'm a bit confused about how they can sell blocks of 1000 followers who also just happen to be interested in your topic. The whole concept of buying and selling followers seems so silly and contradictory to the purpose of Twitter altogether.

It's crashes for me much more frequently. It crashes immediately if I add a user to a group and randomly other times.

Hmm. Interesting. Wonder why all of the sudden people are experiencing more crashing. I didn't have a problem at all for the first while. Mine is mainly at startup and adding someone to a group as well. Hopefully the next release will be more stable.

I had issues from day #1. I'm looking forward to the update too.

Twitter a enfin activé les Hashtags sur son site. Ce qui veut dire que vous pouvez maintenant les utiliser comme des hyperliens. En cliquant sur un Hashtags, vous démarrerez une nouvelle recherche sur Twitter Search.

"Hashtags are dying. In mid-2009 it’s getting difficult to see a point for them. What started as a helpful tool for tracking news from events has descended into a combination of misguided overuse and outright spammy manipulation."

The internet is one of the most naturally evolving civilizations even though based on algorithms due to ease of access. Resistance is not futile but the outcome is almost predestined. The growth of the internet has been with non tech people who not only want an easy button but one that pushes itself.

I wish twitter, friendfeed, facebook and google come up with a feature to send audio tweets, soo that this technology benefits non-english and illiterate people around the world.

Dat laatste komt volgens mij doordat @erwblo regelmatig elders in 't land verblijft. ;-)

Twitter makes changes to its interface: Easier to connect with Tweeples | Startup Meme - Technology Startup and Latest Tech News - http://startupmeme.com/twitter...
I really wish all of these Tech blogs would think before writing. The Twitter "followers/following" UI changes are a total FAIL, & definitely don't make it any easier to connect, in fact other than showing the last tweet per user, it's several huge steps backwards: As I wrote below, "They took away showing a follower's bio on hovering over their username...Showing the last tweet in...

BTW, ZDNet wrote "Twitter adds better friend management", which is just as silly of a claim. How is being able to view the last tweet plus the DM & "mention" options better "followers/following" MANAGEMENT? I would have much rather seen an on-demand (i.e. AJAXed), per user expansion insert with the last 3 tweets (while keeping the bio hover), because the "Followers" page is really...

Given how poor the follower management in Twitter is after the changes, I have to recommend http://refollow.com Not quite perfect, but a big step up. This is what Twitter should have been aiming for...

People who say "tweeple" should be banned from the Internet for at least 48 hours on each offense.

when somethign is absolutely 'unmanageable' a bit of a move in that direction is worthy to be something 'manageable' enough. This still takes a lot of time but at least gives an impression that Twitter is heading on in some sort direction to make things better.

I like the expanded version, but when you look at who you are following now it doesn't show direct message anymore so you cannot tell if they are following you back or not...does it? Oh great, thanks for the info Garin! Libby
- Libby Baker Sweiger
Expanded version is better I agree but you can see more people from list view. If you click the gear icon you can see if someone is connected to you by whether or not you are able to send a direct message.

"An interesting article in MediaPost describes both marketers and Twitter users noticing an increase in pr0n-related spam, and they are not liking it. The issue makes us wonder: should Twitter stamp out pornography; and how should they go about it?"

Personally I think Twitter should crack down on spam in general, and not focus specifically on porn. There are a lot of legit accounts out there by actual pornstars who use them to stay in touch with fans. Porn's also very easy to avoid: don't follow accounts that have it, duh. Besides, the service doesn't support media natively, so all you're seeing is links anyway. Relax.

"Is Twitter suddenly in a dangerous place, risking alienating users by becoming far too corporate, while failing to make any cash from those feeding off it? Three incidents in 24 hours have provoked that question."

Valid points, but most of this can be avoided by simple common sense: 1) Don't follow anyone unless you're absolutely interested in them. I know this violates the unwritten follow reciprocation rule on Twitter, but I'd rather my Twitter home page have stuff I actually care about than be full of noise 2) Trending is a "spammy" concept. Use real-time search if you really wanna see what people are saying about something that *you* are particularly interested in. Most trends are inconsequential crap.
