No problems at all. I use the new trackpad the exact same way i used the old one. Thumb at bottom to click.

@Jon I have it form a reliable source that they are a ways from having a 32GB or higher iPhone. It has to do with how much room is available within the chassis of the iPhone. With the extra things required for cellphone their isn't enough room available for the two flash ram chips needed for 32GB.

That's actually a better idea. I see a few people who just use FF to establish their presence (and score their username before someone else does) but they never engage, which was a gripe of mine earlier this week. Active engagement should be rewarded. Just liking things (without commenting) might be overkill. The middle ground would make more sense and I think it can still be purely democratic (as to who can participate).

tamar: sorry was busy, same basic reason that robert mentioned above, ff will just become yet another traffic boasting platform to game and the noise will make it unusable - today ff is a great presence aggregation tool (i subscribe to you and all your services) plus a good follow on communication mechanism (this thread) - like's don't mean that much and that's a good thing, not much to game - i really like the purity of focus from a start-up perspective that the ff team has kept to

You certainly have legitimate concerns. It may work to entertain a possible democratic way of getting trusted individuals whose votes would actually weigh something, whereas others (who are here for the sheer reason of abuse) don't. I guess that it's wishful thinking, though.

"It seems easily doable", is much easier in theory than in practice. it gets very complex, very fast and figuring it out and becomes a distraction that takes away from creating the best aggregation/social information service. I'm not just a little against it at this juncture, but very, very opposed to them even thinking about this : )

my girl and I can't see each other all the time. so when we do we get a little carried away. We were up all night partying. next day my mother got hysterical and demanded we go shopping for her. We decided rather then go back to the house and deal with he tyranny that we would sleep in the woods. first there was a dog bark that freaked her out, then we moved to another spot. I tried telling her that it was poison oak, but she wouldn't listen. besides she seems immune to it. I got it bad all over me.

I need help with my parents. they are really difficult. Problem is I lost my job and they inherited money... so I have to be subservient. they are insane and my mother has serious muscle problems. More than "using us" I think is a matter of co-evolution. There's a concept called "cognitive prostheses" that may shed some light about it. If you can find juan Ignacio Pozo's "Humana Mente", there's a section dealing with that (including human-computer interaction). I'm not sure if there's an English translation of it, but a quick search turned some relevant results.

You don't understand what I'm saying about spamming. Karma presents a situation where people post for the sake of posting, just to raise their levels. While there are users who do quality posts, karma makes the global pool more diluted, with people wanting to do their xx updates a day to raise/maintain their level.

Once you use Plurk enough, karma isn't an important factor anymore. If you don't like other people spamming your timeline, you can either block them or mute Plurks that are of no interest to you. Personally, I found that I get to know people better on Plurk than on Twitter - it's more informal and it encourages conversation. But again - who you follow defines the kind of experience you get (same as with Twitter).

Paul, given Identi.ca uses the Twitter API it would be nice if we could respond via Identi.ca in the same way you can with Tweets. I presume implementing it wouldn't be overly hard (where as Plurk of course is another matter)

@Rahul FB status would be cool, but there is no public RSS feed. There is a feed, but it requires a key, which would require you to type in your username/password.
