Ubuntu101
An Interesting article that speaks to the one virus that could find your way to your Linux Box, via the wonders of email @ http://www.geekzone.co.nz/foobar... It is to bad that it exists but of course it all depends on the person. What do you think? (via http://friendfeed.com/ubuntu1...)
This is another one of these typical stories for mainstream readers. Don't get me wrong. I like it. But of course, every Gnu/Linux - Unix/MacOS system is vulnerable. We patch and update security-patches daily and backup weekly, don't we? It's up to everybody to keep his/her systems as secure and bulletproof as the customer, company or individual wants or allows it. The more Desktop-Linux turns into MS/MAC-lookalikes it also gets more vulnerable to the typical 'features' when connected to the net. There is nothing 'typical' linux about it IMHO. :) - Alex Covic
Good point Alex Covic - that is indeed the best approach as it is only you and the person in the mirror that is responsible for keeping a system live and operational. - Ubuntu101
