Fwd: well that is besides http://appdb.winehq.org/objectM... this link, perhaps there are others who have found a workaround, *ubuntu* *ubuntu101* *ubuntu-linux* *linux* (via http://friendfeed.com/ubuntu1...) re:http://friendfeed.com/ubuntu1... and...

If you saw a computer, sitting in the back of a pickup truck and you are walking at 2a in the morning to get something at the store and you see this computer and case and keyboard in the back of a pickup truck would you take it then? Or would you instead try and find the owner the next day and see if he/she wants it? #Poll #Debate #Morals
@seltoon so if that is the case you would rather talk to the owner the next day and see if they want to get rid of it, or rather just forget it figuring you will only see it once? - Ubuntu101
@Freemor Well it could be considered that yes, so you would rather talk with the person the next day and see if they want to get rid of it or just place it in the back of your mind as an interesting experience one night on a stroll? - Ubuntu101
Pretty much @Freemor what ran through my mind was exactly that, it was not a bad looking case but cannot say for the board inside and figured I would approach it that way, but I wonder if there will be a communication challenge as I am betting the person who may own that computer or at the very least the pickup speaks more Spanish then English only because I generally know the people at that house. But don't like to prejudge to much. - Ubuntu101
Good Point @Freemor - the wonders of the ability to bring the web with you no matter where you go is a spectacular thing. - Ubuntu101
Yeah it is harder to open eyes that are selectively closed @freemor but indeed early adopters do gain from taking the time to explore new things long before they are accepted everywhere else. - Ubuntu101

Is it also possible, to set the root directory of linux as one that is over multiple partitions, an example /home is in another partition, /usr is in another partition and so on and so forth, is there a way with Ubuntu or Linux to be able to set root as culmination of multiple partitions under the same cover of /root? Thoughts or Suggestions?
Yeah @Freemor that is what I am aware of but wanted to see what others have experienced, I only figured it out when I realized it was possible to put my /home directory in a completely separate partition and then it still appeared in root and upon making my first attempt at a copy the /home directory was included which of course would not fit on the partition I was thinking about. But it got me to thinking, and it does hold true most things can be simply pointed in another direction. fstabbed and go :) The wonders of Linux & Ubuntu - Awesome stuff. - Ubuntu101
Have you ever tried a similar setup in Windows? :) Maybe but I am sure it is far more involved then that. - Ubuntu101
Exactly @Freemor that is my experience as well, that I keep finding these neat features of Linux by just experimenting and reading, really Linux is far more powerful then most Windows Installations, why I am excited about #OpenSource and #Linux because they are really the future and Free For All By Peter Wayner is the perfect accompaniement, as I said when it was reviewed @... more... - Ubuntu101

An Interesting article that speaks to the one virus that could find your way to your Linux Box, via the wonders of email @ http://www.geekzone.co.nz/foobar... It is to bad that it exists but of course it all depends on the person. What do you think? (via http://friendfeed.com/ubuntu1...)
Good point Alex Covic - that is indeed the best approach as it is only you and the person in the mirror that is responsible for keeping a system live and operational. - Ubuntu101

Considering announcing this room on the Ubuntu-EEE forums ( http://ubuntu-eee.com/forum... ) ... but better wait for some more members first. The community already seems a little too dilute to be spreading users/contributers attention to yet another site.

So, it turns out there is an Ubuntu EEE 'user' ( ubuntueee ) run by ramvi, already on FriendFeed. It would be worth following ubuntueee or feeding his feeds into this room. - http://friendfeed.com/ubuntue...
