"Developers got their first hands-on peek yesterday of Canonical's Ubuntu Touch OS for mobile phones, with the release of the first developer beta. So did I. The good news: Ubuntu Touch is a more compelling mobile environment, even in the first developer version, than I expected. It borrows heavily from other mobile UIs, including BlackBerry 10, the iPad, Android, WebOS, and Windows Phone, yet manages to feel like its own OS. It's much too soon to rate, but the OS is promising, for reasons I explain shortly."

Kubuntu 12.10, ho fatto l'aggiornamento proposto, che mi ha aggiornato a kde 4.10, e..... Non funziona piu' un cazzo. Il window manager non parte e la tastiera non sembra attiva (faccio login, digito la password dopodiche' pare morta). WTF?!?
ah, allora aspetto, eh.

Difficile dirlo se non hai manco una shell a cui dare comandi perche' la tastiera non funziona (ma per dare la password funge...).

Il mouse si muove e funge la tastiera e' come se fosse staccata ma se apro una sessione twm funge perfettamente. Mistero. Domani piallo kde e metto ubuntu liscio vediamo cosa succede.

Nel mio caso, muon updater si era 'rotto' a metà installazione senza dirlo lasciando una configurazioni inusabile. apt-get dalla linea di comando ha sistemato tutto.

credo di aver fatto lo stesso (ok, da terminale, ma la sostanza non cambia) e non ho avuto problemi nemmeno io. Lieto tu abbia risolto e butto lì una domanda: ma non ti conviene usare Synaptic al posto di Muon?

sai hai l'icona li' che ti dice che ci sono aggiornamenti, tu vai li' e clicchi, ti viene spontaneo. certo la cosa migliore e' sparare un terminale e fare un bell'apt-get update seguito da apt-get upgrade.

è che io sono abituatoa Synaptic (arrivando da Debian e passando per Ubuntu) e non mi sono trovato molto con Muon (per i pochi minuti che ci ho messo mano). Verissimo il discorso dell'iconcina: devo solo vedere se e come sostiuire il collegamento per puntare a Synaptic. Anche se ho visto un plasmoide che mi piace (Plasmacon http://opendesktop.org/content...) e che poitrebbe essermi utile per "rimpiazzare" questo aspetto di Muon

comunque c'e' stato un grosso casino con le dipendenze dei pacchetti. risolto a botte di remove, autoremove, install, update, upgrade, e ripetere cosi'. ma non mi lamento, immagino che con i backports capiti.

piuttosto, e' risuccesso. font resi a cazzo dentro chrome, in friendfeed e twitter. credo che il font sia l'arial, che viene forzato da questi due siti e che comunque e' la default per il san serif. soprattutto il bold reso da fare schifo. dentro firefox no. mai capito cosa stracavolo e'. non e' la prima volta.
