Dün yani 23 Kasım 2009 tarihli yayınında Hürriyet gazetesi yazarı Fatih Çekirge tarafından paylaşılan “Silikon Vadisi’nde temsilcilik açmak” başlıklı yazısını sizlerin de dikkatine sunmak istiyorum. Geçtiğimiz hafta Türkiye Bilişim Derneği tarafından düzenlenen “Bilişim ‘09” etkinliğinde CEO forum da tartışılan bir konu içeriğiydi.

Gayet mantıklı, neden olmasın. Bir yandan da düşününce dünyada bilişimden başka alanların da olduğunun hatırlanıp yer yerde temsilcilik açmanın gerektiği de anlaşılabilir. Ama olaya temsilcilik olarak yaklaşmayalım. Bugün silikon vadisindeki gelişmeler zaten habersel nitelik taşıyor ve herkes rahatlıkla takip edebiliyor. Teknolojiyi üretmeye karar vermeye başlayıp işin ucundan tutsak? Yoksa bilgisayar devrimini de mi kaçırdık?

Mesela internet yatırım şirketleri. Yeterince takip edemiyorlar Türkiye'yi kulaktan dolma yada internet üzerinden ve araştırma şirketlerinin raporları ile yetiniyorlar. Halbuki Türkiye Bilişim sektörünü temsilen kişi ve kurumların orada konuşlanması bir artı katacaktır.

Bence önce Türkiye' de Bilişim Bakanlığı gibi bir makamın kurulması gerekiyor. Mısır' da bile var böyle bir idari kol, ama Türkiye' de yok. Ayrıca Türkiye' de dikey uzmanlık da yok, herkes ayakta kalmak için daldan dala atlıyor. İsrail bu konuda çok başarılı mesela. Örn: http://www.newsweek.com/id...

The list includes supercomputers from Saudi Arabia to Germany and the United States that are being used for a variety of applications such as astronomy, climate prediction and pharmaceutical research. IBM also holds 69 of the Top 100 positions on this list.
