I remember the king riots in SF, way back when... they destroyed small businesses, and completely changed the neighborhood... it was great for big businesses who could capitalize on the small businesses going out of business, and build huge flagship stores, but bad for average people... a trail of broken glass and dreams everywhere...

What if Canada decided the parts of ND and MN ceded to the US by GB in 1818 was illegal because Canada was independent and GB had no authority to do so? Even though several other nations in the world thought the land belonged to the US, Canada would have good reason to say otherwise. @Sean IMHO America is more conservative and religious than you might think. Not bogged? for decades you've been dealing with slavery and ethnic debates between blacks and whites UNTIL TODAY isn't it? What I find astounding is the total absence of any kind of outcry and protest over the thousands of rockets fired into Israeli cities and towns before this incursion. I have a friend that lives in Israel, his family is an arabic christian one and the horror stories of terror they have to live with at the hands of IDF and Israeli police is disgusting. On his fathers birthday police broke through the doors and kidnapped his dad. No reason, no recourse. They released him several days later after beating him up. This happens across Israel to non-Jewish citizens yet it never makes the news. There is *so much* going on that fuels this hatred in perpetuality.

This is annoying me on several levels. If the "white" girl was by herself, she'd just be "mixed" (or whatever you want to call it) like any other biracial child & that would be that. She's only "white" in contrast to her "black" sister. I hope people don't get the children thinking this way about themselves. Also, how is this any more "astonishing" than fraternal twins coming out one with blond and one with brown hair?? All it shows is general ignorance about what "race" consists of, namely almost nothing.

Perhaps, Trish. That's why it needs to stop and this needs to not be news. There needs to be better education about the whole thing and about how genetics work and what phenotypes mean. Phenotype does not mean a significant difference in genotype, and these babies are a perfect illustration of that. That's also a huge point that most average people in the world just refuse to get or understand. They see things as black or white and it's just not that simple.

Been thinking about this in the last 10 minutes or so... my first perspective was that an auto 'thanks for following' without links was a good way to keep a personal touch.. Agree with Dave that Rev. Wright didn't say anything in his sermons that was so terrible when you listen to the offending lines in context. I also think the outrage over Warren is a similar situation. There is a tremendous amount of blowback over this when the fact is that any evangelical minister would have had engendered the same response, and excluding evangelicals from participation would have been a horrible political and divisive choice.

My problem is with human interpretation of the three Abrahamic religions. Projecting human emotions like pettiness, jealousy, wrath and violence onto an omnipotent god just make no sense. this software is incredibly powerful. i just wish it had better compatibility with remotebuddy. i might need to get a wireless keyboard to use this on my TV, but i'm already thinking of devoting a mac with significant storage to my TV in large part powered by Miro. iTunes + Miro web video downloads + TORRENTS (i had no idea) is gonna be sick. AND I retained my Tivo HD, so I get youtube, Amazon video and more VOD that way. so glad I bid farewell to CATV
