I am speaking these words into my computer right now; it is very futuristic seeming to watch my words pop up on screen. Inevitably, voice recognition will be built into very tiny RFID chips and strewn all over America. Translated automatically into text, Big Brother now has a universal search prompt for every single thing you might say anywhere.

I feel a strong need to build my community on the platform that will never sell out. This friendfeed website has already sold out! It's hilarious. They will never have billions of mainstream users! this platform is mine! -:)
If friendfeed has been acquired, it represents an abandoned platform that can be "squatted". It never had a business model, which makes it "anti-capitalist" enough. I don't see any ads here, for instance. Maybe we should take it over.
Whenever a cool startup is acquired in the Internet industry, the innovation has historically died. Often, new entrepreneurs will pick up the fumble and a new platform is launched. It's a fascinating dynamic. I knew friendfeed never would have a business model; that was my first clue.
Well this is ironic -- I just left a comment talking about how I'd never got into friendfeed on Robert Scoble's blog, a second later here I am trying it out and it looks pretty cool !
that's funny. i was just thinking how I never log into FriendFeed, then I get a notification that you subscribed to me. a second later, here I am replying to you! is this the future?
