It took me 1.5-years to get RSS after Dave Winer first showed it to me. So, I am getting faster. Took me just a few months to get friendfeed. Glad you kept after me.
- Robert Scoble
So how do I access it? <---I take that back. Didn't realize what I was looking at when I went to the site.
- Mattie Kenny
Josh: it was a seasonal thing last year at this time, so it is no longer possible. We may have to bring it back by popular demand, but for now the entries you see are all from last year.
- Bret Taylor
Bret - bring back those cute little red icons next to the FF posts! easy seasonal "flair" feature!

msft and aapl supporting this nonsense
- Paul E. Ester
Of course, MSFT and APPL are media businesses. Microsoft with Xbox. Apple with Disney and all the content it delivers on the iOS platform.

Kevin almost always has the coolest British accent on GG, Paul

Kindle Fire Mini-Review: Fits nicely on the nightstand. Video and music playback is very good as is implementation of the cloud. Browser OK but Flash slows it down. Reading OK (backlight helps at night) but not as good as with e-ink. Size is OK but feels heavier than the iPad because of bulk. Will not replace my iPad.
- Alex de Soto
hotter than pictures are live streams
- Paul E. Ester
since G plus doesn't bring stuff in, is not an aggregator, you're only getting native conversations. We need the uber real-time search combining Facebook, Twitter, G Plus, etc.
- Laura Norvig
I read Google+ for the pictures oops I mean the articles
- Charlie Isaacs
Laura: bing! Dale: what is there to talk about? It's a great device because of the price and the Amazon ecosystem.
- Robert Scoble
How it is to use, quality, etc. Ya know, review type stuff
- Dale Lature
IOW, why is it good enough to be the only other tablet next to iPad?
- Dale Lature
Dale: hasn't that been talked to death by the pros? Most of which have been pretty negative, mostly because people are comparing to iPad or other Android tablets. Why is it good enough to be the only tablet next to iPad? Amazon. Amazon. Amazon. $200. $200. $200.
- Robert Scoble
and you guys are more positive, and are people I trust more than the Mainstream emdia
- Dale Lature
Amazon is why I was initially enthused...just the world they offer...but what's left is the usability....I think I'm getting one based on what I've heard which is basically "Not bad perfomance"
- Dale Lature
Robert, do you have one and have you written about it or talked about it elsewhere?
- Dale Lature
Dale: I've had my hands on it. I'm not interested in it. For my uses the iPad is totally superior. But I will buy them for other people, due solely to the low price.
- Robert Scoble
I have a variety of other Android tablets too. I never use them. They just don't measure up to iPad.
- Robert Scoble
Curious as to how everyone likes/doesn't like a "monday" show? Beginning of the week...do you like that?
- Tina Chase Gillmor
Most awesome is to get it to the cloud fast so I can watch it on appleTV. The NoAgenda Podcast gets posted within a couple of hours and I love the reliability of knowing it will be available if I miss it live
- Paul E. Ester
I'm assuming some kind of music video. This is a popular dance/activity of some kind...I think in Jamaica. There was an epidemic of broken weiners as a result. (this is not a joke)
- Rah-PM 2012
I'm going with an 8. His legs clearly separated during the aerial pelvic thrust and his arm placement was clearly off before the landing.
- Rah-PM 2012
Dude...that video is just...WTF. I thought I'd seen it all, but they're just blatantly miming all types of innapropriate shit to the nth degree
- Rah-PM 2012
That video made my netherbits hurt just watching it. :-/
- Hookuh Tinypants
Probably hasn't been heard of since because you can actually BREAK YOUR WINKY! Which is highly disturbing to me. Hence why I would never even think of doing this. I treasure my winky, along with a relatively small number of other individuals.

Embrace it all. Receive it all. Accept it all. Stand firm in what you know to be true. Give less power to what others think. Ignore self-criticism. Do not live in fear of catching fire. "When she gave up her big-city dreams in New York to come home and run her family’s tire business, she passed on a new condominium or house in the suburbs, instead moving into an adobe duplex in an old neighborhood with shade trees, where crime might be higher but people knew who lived down the street. And when Ms. Giffords, now a congresswoman, married an astronaut years later, she borrowed her Vera Wang wedding dress, served dinner on plates made of biodegradable sugar cane, had a cook make tortillas on the spot and invited fellow lawmakers to the working farm where she said her vows. “The D.C. people were wearing high heels that would sink into the dirt,” said Ilana Addis, a friend from high school. “The Tucson people knew not to do that.” And Ms. Giffords, very deliberately, is a Tucson person. “If you live in a place and you stay there forever, you’re known as a good old Joe,” said John Hosmer, a former high school teacher of Ms. Giffords’s. “But if you leave, even for just a...

"While their muffuletta, layered with house-cured meats, is among the very best in New Orleans, Cochon Butcher's other sandwiches are almost as irresistible. I was particularly fond of the buckboard bacon melt ($9)—thick-cut lean shoulder bacon with smoky stewed collards, a pepper aioli, and Swiss cheese melting into every bite. The golden-browned bread only makes it all tastier."

"Today we'll focus on a homemade Margherita pizza: the classic combination of good bright tomato sauce, fresh, creamy mozzarella, and basil leaves. It's simple, timeless, and pretty straightforward from a wine standpoint. You'll want to lean into the tomato's acidity; a wine with bright fruit will bring out the tomatoes and the inherent sweetness of the cheese. While the 'red with red' can work here, don't overlook a clean white wine that simply frames the quality of these ingredients. A snappy Vernaccia redolent with sweet herbal flavors, green melon, and raw nuts would be great, or a Friulano with its citrus and mineral backbone (and hint of blond tobacco) to frame the clean simplicity of this pie and bring out the integrity of the ingredients. From a red point of view, think legacied Italian grapes like Sangiovese (the grape of Chianti) with it's plum and cherry flavors, hints of flowers and coffee beans. Or go with Barbera, which is equally zesty, with dark fruit and deep color....

A BuzzFlash reader was inspired to help her out by creating her eBay candidacy auction:" Just a few weeks left to bid, will likely cost more than $150 million dollars, given what she has personally spent.

Interesting feature of FriendFeed beta: to view a single entry you click its timestamp but once you're in a single entry view, clicking the timestamp launches an embeddable version of the entry in a pop-up window. This could be embedded in other sites for a real-time discussion.
Have a pro flickr account and wanted to try out ourdoings, but couldn't easily find any iPhoto integration (either as export plug-in or via the excellent PictureSync utility). I didn't even bother to upload a test batch of images. This comment is free - no need to send a check :)
- Niklas Morberg
Funny you mention PictureSync. I actually started work to support it then learned the author had moved on. For now it's a 2-step process from iPhoto - export to a zip archive, then upload that archive. There are people doing it that way, but for now the Picasa desktop client is the best way to upload to OurDoings on a Mac.
- Bruce Lewis
from fftogo
The author moved on to Pixelpipe, and I notice they have an iPhoto plugin. Paul Wade has been using Pixelpipe to OurDoings...I wonder if he uses that plugin: http://friendfeed.com/mrdigit...

come see her Mona...she'd love to play Mario and Peach with you ;)
- Erin @queenofspain
But Erin, I'd rather play with you. At a bar. Sheraton ;) ...couldn't help myself. And seriously? If I go, I'll probably move in and be your Asian nanny hahahaha!
- Mona Nomura
rofl. well you are welcome anytime. I'm in DC in April and San Fran every month...so yea..you need to come this way!
- Erin @queenofspain
Dude - she is way cute. That little face smiling up at you. Seriously, I am already madly in love. You're gonna be in DC in April? For what?

Given the traditional Apple Tax, I'm really looking forward to an equivalent Android device at at $200-300 price point by year end.
- Ken Sheppardson
From your lips to God's ears, KShep. I think I might be tired of Apple. I just had to replace batteries in 2 Apple laptops this week. Very spending
- Francine Hardaway
Francine, I'm a baeball fan and I love the idea of the MLB app with more screen real estate. I can track the game, watch replay videos, see in depth stats, and maybe even track tweets about the game on one screen.
- Mike Doeff
Cliff, re why Android couldn't do this first... I think there's stuff in the pipe, ala the Dell Mini 5, other things we haven't seen, but until Apple puts their stamp on it and validates the form factor, no matter what options from MSI or Asus are out there, they'd just get dismissed out of hand.
- Ken Sheppardson
I think it's an issue of integrated vs. modular production. No other company has all the threads under their control.
- Cliff Gerrish
I am not sure about the mutltitasking..I heard yesterday that you could play music and watch photos at the same time.
- Jim Posner
How will newspapers deal with the fact that they can't force animated ads down our throat?
- Matt Terenzio
There are a few things that are allowed in background—like playing music, but it's not full-bore multi-tasking.
- Michael Markman
People are going to blame websites that have flash for not making their sites work on the device of their choice (the iPhone or iPad), they aren't going to blame Adobe or Apple.
- Mark Trapp
Jobs watched a slideshow with a soundtrack, and you can listen to the built in music player on the iPhone, right? But can you listen to Pandora while you work on email at the coffee shop?
- Ken Sheppardson
Then again, re multitasking... I wonder how many iPad owners won't also own an iPhone?
- Ken Sheppardson
we don't want silverlight either . . .
- Matt Terenzio
And Chrome just took me away from Building 43 to enter a comment on FF #fail
- Francine Hardaway
Re integrated vs modular production... the alternative to the integrated Apple iPad experience will be a commodity Asus/HTC/MSI/Dell device running Android with Google controlling the experience.
- Ken Sheppardson
Chrome is Google's attempt at integrated design and production.
- Cliff Gerrish
I thought I'd get an applause on that one. . .
- Matt Terenzio
What'll stop it is $499. It's unstoppable at $199.
- Ken Sheppardson
I actually forgot the iPad was from Apple for an hour during the presentation. :-)
- Jim Posner
worth pointing out that Steve has been right a zillion times over on the iPhone...just sayin'.

Trouble streaming from Brasil...roadie bandwidth hogs probably.
- Aron Michalski
Yesterday Leo Laporte said that you can fit it into your pocket if you have Captain Kangaroo pockets. Maybe this will start a new fashion trend. :)
- Mike Doeff
The eco system the iPad is going to create will alone make the device a success. All that screen real estate will take what were iPhone apps to an entirely new level.
- Jerry Schuman
I already have an Air, an iPhone, and a Kindle. Not to mention a Mini, a MacBook, a Shuffle. I'm such a jerk.
- Francine Hardaway
My 16-yo daughter loves her Nook, but she'd trade it for an iPad.
- Karoli
Give me a flip phone with next generation T9/predictive texting and I'd dump the "smartphone"... if I had a 10" mid-size screen like this. Hm...
- Ken Sheppardson
Yeah this is all about HOW successful it will be. In other words, will it change the world or just make them a ton of money?
- Matt Terenzio
I've never experienced a problem with AT&T . They must be good in the NYC area or something
- Matt Terenzio
Apple has indoctrinated millions into a new form of handheld interaction. You're fooling yourself if you don't think this is a major push forward by Apple for a first gen device and a new platform.
- Jerry Schuman
It opens up the possibilities for the "Personal Area Network": basic phone that gives you connectivity/hotspot, then whatever size WiFi device is appropriate for your environment.
- Ken Sheppardson
Matt, making a ton of money will be the first step to changing the world.
- Karoli
Apple has a patent for a camera that is actually your screen. Wait for that in the next gen iPad for your forward facing camera.
- Jerry Schuman
Karoli, I know that's why I've been trying to make a ton of money. ; ) I'm not just greedy.
- Matt Terenzio
Meanwhile, you'll have a webcam that docks with with iPad that you clip to something in front of you within 60 days of the iPad launch.
- Ken Sheppardson
Iphone tethered via bluetooth to be your camera for the iPad.
- Jerry Schuman
my stepfather would be a total iPad candidate. He's smart but not computer smart, very intuitive.
- Karoli
Sounds a little Orwellian Jerry. Steve Jobs says, "C'mon Matt one more pushup. . ."
- Matt Terenzio
Nobody is talking about instant on either.. huge factor for the iPad. Pull it out of your briefcase and you're off and running
- Jerry Schuman
A revolution that only takes two releases is a pretty efficient revolution...
- Cliff Gerrish
the iPad itself is not going to be the catalyst for the "next big thing" its the developer community that will do that.
- Jerry Schuman
"Notebook maker MSI is ready to enter both the tablet and Android markets with a 10-inch touch tablet being readied for release late this year. The tablet will be based on the Nvidia Tegra processor and should hit the market for $500. The new tablet will run the Android OS and is reported to be “thin and light.” It would seem that the big iPad launch hasn’t killed the competition, at least not yet." -- http://jkontherun.com/2010...

People are reading things into how much he sat.

It's a question of paternity, is the tablet the son of the iPhone or the Laptop? There's a big difference.
- Cliff Gerrish
Mike, that sounds far more interesting than Keynote presentations. :)

nice punch line, Steve. That's sort of game, set, match right there. LOL.
