Kindle Fire Mini-Review: Fits nicely on the nightstand. Video and music playback is very good as is implementation of the cloud. Browser OK but Flash slows it down. Reading OK (backlight helps at night) but not as good as with e-ink. Size is OK but feels heavier than the iPad because of bulk. Will not replace my iPad.

Have a pro flickr account and wanted to try out ourdoings, but couldn't easily find any iPhoto integration (either as export plug-in or via the excellent PictureSync utility). I didn't even bother to upload a test batch of images. This comment is free - no need to send a check :)

Funny you mention PictureSync. I actually started work to support it then learned the author had moved on. For now it's a 2-step process from iPhoto - export to a zip archive, then upload that archive. There are people doing it that way, but for now the Picasa desktop client is the best way to upload to OurDoings on a Mac.

Cliff, re why Android couldn't do this first... I think there's stuff in the pipe, ala the Dell Mini 5, other things we haven't seen, but until Apple puts their stamp on it and validates the form factor, no matter what options from MSI or Asus are out there, they'd just get dismissed out of hand.
