OK, I've been either out or sleeping most of the day, but: are people really freaking out because Obama gave the Japanese emperor a bow?
Seriously, as someone who loves to argue about politics: get a freaking hobby. - Steven Perez
Not everyone is American. We spit out of our car windows and call ourselves civilized. Manners matter a whole hell of a lot in Japan. Yo' boy was damn near at BJ level. People care about that shit. - Nakachi
Oh, I wasn't discussing whether he did it right (he clearly didn't). I'm more amazed that people are outraged that he bowed at all. - Steven Perez
Yeah, my husband told me how low the bow was...which could be interpreted pretty negatively from a Japanese perspective, but here people are bunged up that he bowed at all. I'm just glad he made an effort. Beyond that, I'm with Steven -- this is a non-issue *here*... - Prosey BUTTONS!
What is this, slow news day ? *disdain* - Mo Kargas
The answer is "Yes" to "are people really freaking out because Obama..." regardless of what follows. - John (bird whisperer)

The actions of Presidents and famous folk is, and has always been, scrutinized and criticized. This attention isn't exclusive to Obama, IMO. - Kurt Starnes
A no real news day brings attention to, well..., no news. - manielse (Mark Nielsen) from Android
