testing out Flickr Twitter Beta, a way to simultaneously upload photos & video directly to Flickr & Twitter via email http://laughingsquid.com/flickr-...
"Google started it. Social media, especially with tools like FriendFeed, magnified it - page one is the place to be. The top of page one is especially the place to be. Those few days when Conversation Agent was at number five on AdAge Power150 many checked out this blog from that list. From number 16? Not so much."

I wish name wasn't shared by so many others. I can usually get 4-5 spots, but not all ... Any suggestions?
- Ryan Stephens
@Ryan - make your FF feed public. Search on my name and notice that my FF profile is in the top 5. Use your own name as a category or tag in some/all of your blog content. The more links out there use your name to link to your sites the better. Register a google profile. On second thought, just ask Mike Fruchter (http://friendfeed.com/fruchter) because he lives and breathes this stuff.

now I wish TypePad allowed you to integrate FF and Twitter so that everyone would see all this great advice. Thank you Daniel, you rock!
- Valeria Maltoni
@Daniel - Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty familiar with SEO, and I know the likelihood of ryanstephens.com (not me) going anywhere is nil, and the guy's MySpace music is probably slim too. It's a bit brazen to suggest other bloggers use my name in their own URL's (like for interviews and stuff eh?) - Valeria did (thanks BTW) and that's near the top of the 2nd page usually. I do have a Google Profile Registered. I'll get with Mike. Again, certainly appreciate the initial advice.

Thanks Nathan-- I did want this to be seen in terms of my profession (PR/Communications) rather than strict politics-though the confused politics are inseparable from my point.

makes sense to me. what I get from the post is that the lack of a clearly-articulated central focus actually has strong negative effects on the message -- i.e. they end up looking like a bunch of nuts because the most extreme voices tend to steal the show.
- Nathan Rein
Yes, and they let them-- unless the extremem voices were supposed to be the show--again, it's just not clear. Also, I can't belive I forgot to include the "teabagging" embarrassment- oh well, just salacious ansd slightly beside the point i guess
