On my first day visiting India, I volunteered at a school for underprivileged kids. My friends and I bought the kids some educational gifts, read to 'em, and -- most of all -- even we macho guys had our hearts melt seeing how curious and excited and happy they were. Here's a sample :)

What's amazing to me is just how universal (across India) a love-of-camera has been for kids. I'm not sure if it's an issue of rarely seeing digital cameras, rarely seeing non-Indians in person, or something else... but kids in India have just gone wild (with big smiles or more) when I point my camera at them. Will share more photos later :-)

@livecrunch I love Chrome so far. It's definitely getting my browser attention. It starts faster so I'm more likely to start it than FF.

Chrome is probably the most efficient browser I've seen to date. But maybe that's coz I'm not that old to have seen every browser to date. :)

I've been using Chrome off and on. It doesn't support NTLM so at work I use FF, because I don't want to login to every site. @Imran, lynx was probably the most efficient, but then it was text only.

Yeah starting is much faster. only takes a few seconds even with other apps loading, Firefox takes forever. :-( Shame there is no ad-blocking with Chrome, hope that'll come in future versions

I no longer really remember the Chrome startup time, because we've not stopped/quit Chrome since it was installed, nor have we had to. I'd have killed/restarted Firefox a couple dozen times (at least) over the same time period, and IE probably a few times, too. Opera...hard to say, but it doesn't matter anyway. ;)

I like the feature of 'task manager' for browser, and thats helps keep me running chrome forever, wont have to kill it if some site creats an issue

Has anyone noticed a lag when loading javascript/ajax call heavy pages? It seems that the javascript/ajax call has to completely finish before the page will show, FF and IE don't lag but chrome does.

it has a long way to go but I still enjoy using it. For some odd reason it doesn't like to scroll with my trackpad so I can't use it on my laptop. Certain sites it just won't work with and I've run across a few PNG and font rendering issues. I look forward to seeing how it develops

Hey Stagekid, you can't use Toolbars in Chrome yet, but... you can use bookmarklets! This includes bookmarklets for Friendfeed, Facebook, Google Reader, etc. :) That's not gonna replace all the coolness of toolbars, but I think it's a great start and hopefully it'll be helpful for you.

Chome appears to be about a second faster rendering Gmail, by my very informal testing (e.g. have both FF & Chrome open, hit F5 in FF, click the Chrome window, hit F5--Chrome still renders before FF).

I am always floored when I hear people talk about having dozens of tabs. I have, at most, maybe five; and that's when I'm really busy. Otherwise, I trim it down to only what I need presently. Do people use tabs as a kind of bookmark system? Go to a tab rather than to a bookmark?

Akiva, I see my mom do this. She opens stuff that she thinks she will use and never uses it, or she leaves stuff open that she has used because she thinks she may need it again. I think most people just need to use bookmarks more effectively :)

Rahsheen(isSoAwesome), it would be neat to see a browser feature that scans your Favorites/Bookmarks and lists off the ones you haven't used in a while (if not ever) and lets you clean them up.
