you probably can't upgrade to a new version w/o actually paying. Also, they have companion iPhone apps.

sure, but I see no reason to ever upgrade Writeroom, so that's lost income right there. As for the other apps, not very interested anyway.

Kind of strange that LinkedIn and other socnet sites don't have a 'mark as spam' setting.
Wouldn't that break the illusion of relevance and attention? Isn't the basic tenet of socnets that there's no spam because it's all just your friends? =)

you would think so, except apparently non-friends can send you messages through being a member in the same LinkedIn group.
