My favourite behavioral data, though, would be poker data. Too bad it's almost impossible to get. I'd almost be willing to kill to get some.

Shouldn't be hard at all with so many games being recorded and shown publicly. Just hire an intern to go through all the footage and get rich writing the book!

"yeah, but that sounds more like wysiwyg programming, which I guess is what we should be moving towards or are probably (not an expert) already there in some cases. The retro idea as proposed by Sivers was more about forcing people to solve problems in order to get things done. It sounds like these problems still exist, it's rare that I deal with non-Macware for instance and don't have problems like my latest corrupted external harddrive, for instance. The Mac is definitely a representation of what the future, of hardware at least, should look like… whether that's for the worse or the better (my opinion is known)."

"i.e. mobile GPS and augmented reality in mobile phones. I see a very different (parallel) future ahead of us than envisioned in Snow Crash, although I wasn't kidding about *watching this space.*"

"Making an awful big jump from Snow Crash to Google Maps, I think… but maybe you're right and eventually we never have to visit anywhere again and can still experience it. *watch this space* as I'm starting a company focussed on just that. :)"
