Wouldn't that break the illusion of relevance and attention? Isn't the basic tenet of socnets that there's no spam because it's all just your friends? =)

you would think so, except apparently non-friends can send you messages through being a member in the same LinkedIn group.

Yep, I hate that stuff, too. The gnitekram tenretni people really know how to make internet smell like used socks.
