developing a cash cow marketing plan :: For People Unemployed or Under-Employed - http://www.cashcowmarketingplan.com/index...
From one of my MOST TRUSTED FRIENDS: "Are you unemployed or under employed and need a hand up? If you are in need of a hand up, you can have it  - if my book can help you - you can have a copy - NOTHING TO BUY - EVER! I truly believe that this book can help. So much so that If you say 'I am ready, and I really need it - I will give it to you! - no refunds - no credit cards - nothing. There is ONE CATCH - YOU MUST SAY - "I JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT" and "I will not share it with others."  Each copy is personalized to you with a password." - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

MySpace is 3 Times As Popular As Twitter | Search Engine Optimization/SEO - http://searchenginerankings.at...
"Twitter is insignificant compared to MySpace. That’s what I learned from comScore’s data on social media. Facebook is clearly the reigning champion of social media. That wasn’t much of a surprise, but the thing that really grabbed my attention is the fact that MySpace is a strong second while Twitter is barely in the running. Take a look at the graph below to see what I mean. Isn’t that amazing? All we seem to hear about is Twitter this and Twitter that in the blogosphere, but I think the real story is Facebook and MySpace. From all the talk, or lack thereof, about MySpace, I thought the service was practically defunct. But it has three times as many visitors as Twitter and two-thirds the number of Facebook’s visitors." - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

"Visualisation is the process of making mental pictures. It is one of the most powerful gifts you possess because it models as a sketch (snapshot) where your goals and aims will emerge. Visualisation is mighty because it is a product of the imagination and is thus a product of your inner being. Unlike your eyes, visualisation is unlimited and is not dependant on external factors such as light. In my blog post titled overcoming obstacles, I mention visualisation as a step that leads to success." - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

Aetna Not Alone In Layoffs As Other Insurers Also Pare Jobs - WSJ.com - http://online.wsj.com/article...
"Aetna Inc. (AET) isn't the only health insurer paring its work force as the managed-care industry faces rising medical costs, enrollment pressures and a competitive marketplace. WellPoint Inc. (WLP) has eliminated jobs over the past several weeks, although the managed-care giant isn't providing any numbers or making any kind of layoff announcement. In addition, Cigna Corp. (CI) has cut hundreds of jobs this year beyond those announced in January" - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

NOTE: When leaving a VOICEmail: 1.) take a deep breath, 2.) visualize the person having to write your name & phone number, 3.) enunciate
People with accents REALLY need to learn that. I always leave a verbal cue a number or email is about to be recited, then I repeat. - Admiral Anika
Ironically, Anika, the person whose voicemail messages prompted me to write that particular tweet is from the SAME part of the USA where I was born! :-) She left a couple of voicemail messages within a couple hour period of time each being said very rapidly - none of which was clear enough for me to get either her name nor her phone number...hopefully I'll be able to catch her on her next try...lol - Vincent Wright from email

Jack Yan: the Persuader Blog: Google deletes <i>Social Media Consortium</i> blog without explanation - http://www.jackyan.com/blog...
"Google, through its Blogger subsidiary, has now deleted the Social Media Consortium blog, for no reason whatsoever.    For the last few months, the company has made access to the blog next to impossible. It would not let us post on it, even when we fed in the Captcha code to confirm that a human had just typed in an entry. It made a false accusation about it being a spam blog, which was not true. Both Vincent Wright, the blog’s owner, and I, filled in the form requesting that the blog be reviewed by a human. Google promised to do this within 48 hours, but it never happened." - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

Facebook | Don't Be Evil, Google! Gimme My Blog Back! Come Out And DEFEND YOURSELF YOU BIG GIANT BULLY! :-) - http://www.facebook.com/topic...
"Ok, Dear Google,, If I've done something wrong with my blog, here's your chance to let the public know precisely what I've done. Tell 'em! I can take it! If, on the other hand, I've done nothing wrong with my blog, "Don't Be Evil"*, Google! Gimme my blog back! :-) I started an informal blog more than four years ago, calling it "The Linkedin Business Discussion Index". I started it before I knew that there were any "RULES" of blogging. Mainly I played with blogging. Never made a single, solitary penny from it. Never intended to make money from it. It was set up primarily as a means of sharing Linkedin-centric posts via a blog format for members of My Linkedin Power Forum (now at www.MyVirtualPowerForum.com) Period. I eventually decided to rename the blog to "Social Media Consortium", thus, yielding the blogspot URL: http://SocialMediaConsortium.blogspot.com (with a 301 redirect from www.SocialMediaConsortium.com)" - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

Chase is running media across Facebook as well as elsewhere online and in print to promote the initiative, according to a spokesperson for Context Optional, which created the application. "My Job TIGER emphasizes the great importance a tiger-like ATTITUDE plays in conducting a successful job search. Today, you must FOCUS on finding great opportunities and be more assertive than you may have been comfortable being in the past. Many talented people miss out on great opportunities because they don't try their best every day. For at least 4 hours each day, your job search must be your job until your search finds you a job." - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

AHEM! Answer me THIS: In the midst of working with hundreds/thousands of people per day, have you ever called someone THE WRONG NAME? :-)
All the time. - Admiral Anika
indeed I have - Chieze Okoye
The worst is when they make you guess and you're way off. - Rodfather
I'm terrible with names. So I don't even try to hide it. - Jason Huebel from iPhone
I don't get the people who won't speak up with the correct name. It's MORE awkward after you've introduced to them as Peter to 87 people to have them say, "Actually, my name is Aaron." *judochop*. - Admiral Anika
LOL @ judochop - Jason Huebel from iPhone
Yep. But I've been *called* the wrong name at work much more often. - Penguin It's Cold Outside
I like the @judochop, too! lol - Vincent Wright from email
I just posted this morning about someone who consistently calls me the wrong name, despite the fact that he has a bunch of correspondence with my correct name on it. - vicster
Oh, when people say my name wrong, I have no problem correcting it. But it sucks when they don't listen. "Here is 'Ann-ick-a'. "Hi, I'm "A-knee-kah', glad to meet you." "So, "Ann-ick-a here..." And I tend to start fuming because if they didn't pick up on that small cue, it's a sure sign they won't pay attention to anything anyone says. - Admiral Anika

"hmmm...How can I say this? I wish I could figure out a way to be mistake free but, after spending several decades contemplating that intriguing little human concept called perfection, I think it's safe to say that mistake-free is not something that's going to happen to me. Jason Alba (al - buh)» Blog Archive - http://jasonalba.com/2009...
"the evolution of a blogger’s ego I started blogging three years ago this month.  It was a fantastic environment where you had your own “bully pulpit” … a place where you were in charge, you had the mic, and you could say whatever you wanted. I soon learned that bloggers had quite the ego.  They used their bully pulpit to talk about boring stuff (that we were supposed to be interested in) as well as though leadership or subject matter expert stuff.  Bloggers had enough rope to hang themselves with - and some did.  Others became fantastically popular (Seth, Guy, Michael, Chris Brogan), and even internet celebrities." - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet

"Think Twice: That Facebook Update Could Get You Robbed Apparently it’s not only the IRS using social media to find its targets, but burglars as well. Michael Fraser, a “reformed burglar” working for the BBC (perhaps one of the more interesting job titles out there) calls it “Internet shopping for burglars.” The combination of a willingness to “friend” total strangers and open broadcasting about one’s holiday plans, whereabouts, purchases, home interiors and other personal information essentially creates a field day for professional burglars. In fact, we reported on just such an incident back in June." - Vincent Wright from Bookmarklet
