So yeah, standards differ. That of acceptable risk too. Just get off your high stool a little bit and be broad minded.
And the lawnmover company folded: the company should have made machines idiot proof too. This would have been laughed out of Indian courts.
Hard to do when these "standards" differ. Human life is sacrosanct but the amount of everyday risk one is willing to tolerate is different.
In other words: good stuff is about to happen to Chinese labour standards. But it will not please everybody.
The fact is Apple despite its secrecy has always been way less a corporate ahole than many others. And it doesn't like to be embarrassed.
