Vista Prayer

Please pray for me. This has been a hard year with lots of spiritual warefare and it continues. November 1st the devil orchestrated a car accident which totaled my car and thank God neither I or Pam Bisher, my best friend were seriously hurt. But I need a good, dependable car and have no money but trusting my Father to keep His promise to provide.

Dear Father, thank you for you sovereignty in each of our lives. I pray specifically for our graduated seniors who are transitioning this year. Dear Lord would you place reminders in their paths that you are with them and available to direct and guide them in decisions they need to make. Bring Godly mentors into their lives who will help them as...

Father, please bless my friends Chris and Megan Lynch in the sudden death of their 13 year old son, Ian. Please show them your light and give them your peace.

Asking you, Father, to guide, protect, impact and use the Second Vista Cambodia Team for your Name's sake...

Please pray for the high school students who have recently returned home from Young Life Camp. I pray that they will remain strong in their recent commitments to Christ. Lord help each of these teens to develop a hunger and thirst for Your Word in their lives this summer. I pray too for the Young Life staff as they meet with many of these students...

God bless our hands and minds as we prepare for Neighborhood Bible Clubs with the Columbus Somalia community. Help us to make lasting friendships, learn cultural appreciation and be ambassadors for Christ to these children and their families.

Please pray for the continued planning and support raising of our 22 short-term missions trip folks. It's always challenging to keep encouraged as financial support rolls in slowly for some, and as logistical hurdles keep arising. It's all pretty normal, but it wears on ya.

Please say a prayer for my friend, Pam Bisher. She is having bone spurs removed from the top of her right foot, and big toe tomorrow around 10 a.m. -1 p.m. The dr. is going to work on her bunion too. Then I have to get her home & upstairs. Please pray God will strengthen me as I am still recovering from my surgery. God bless you all April

Jeremiah 38-41: as we follow where you lead, Oh Lord, give us your heart for the salvation of all in Columbus and it's surrounding areas. Prepare us to reach all people as you love all. Prepare hearts to receive what you have through our efforts to follow your Spirit. This is your work and you are faithful to your purposes.

Bless our teachers and volunteers as they set up, greet new attenders, serve children and make the service happen each week. Add to their number. Bless their homes, protect their hearts and help them see you in their servant roles. Let them know they stand with generations who have built your kingdom throughout time. Amen - so be it,

Prepare our hearts to focus on Good Friday. Bless the service tonight. Holy Spirit speak to us as we choose to engage in the sorrow and sacrifice of the chosen Lamb of God.

Thank you Lord for Janet McCoy's recovery since her recent mastectomy. Please give her strength and encouragement as she begins her chemo on April 8th. I pray for Jessi and Nate. Help them to draw closer to you during this difficult time. I pray that even at their young age they would be able to trust you completely for strength and hope. Give...

Father, strengthen and protect our friend who will be in surgery tomorrow (Wed). It is a scary notion to tamper with the brain...but it cannot be avoided. Guide the hands of the surgeon. Comfort and encourage the children of this single Dad, in such a traumatic time...

Thank you Father for your healing and mercy. We are so very thankful for our friend Rebecca and her prognosis - her doctor's are telling her that the cancer was caught early enough and that she is going to be okay. Jesus, how do we even begin to express our gratitude for the love and concern you have for us?

I am sure some of you have heard, but please pray for Dave Plaster, he is the minister of Grace Brethren church in Worthington (I believe.) He fell ill suddenly and has been diagnosed with a horrible virus that is affecting his is brain, his prognosis is grim, but God is in the miracle business.

I'm obviously being discreet here...please pray for a wayward adult son at a critical junction. That he would sense God's grace and mercy, but also respond humbly to discipline.... and pray for mom and dad...if you've never experienced such a trial...well, be deeply thankful.

I just wanted to express my thankfulness to you, Father, for the outcomes of both Caps' Dad's back surgery and Greg's heart by-pass... and if I could ask You... for comfort, strength and recovery...

Parker is doing great! Still getting used to the whole asthma thing...but I think we'll survive.

Parker was officially diagnosed with asthma today. Please pray of us as we learn how to help his breathing and for him that his breathing will be normal again soon! Thank you!

For safe travels, health and connections in Cambodia for Pastor Mike. And for special provisions of grace and unity for Tammy, Spencer and Shay while he's away.

Pray for our vista high school leaders. They have been asking God for direction for our youth. Pray for wisdom, direction, unity and faith as they come together and meet on Thursday.

The issues related to Haitian orphans deserves our fervent prayer. Our State Department is in the unenviable space of trying to urgently legislate around the bureaucracy of transporting already-adopted (and now life-threatened) orphans from Haiti to the States.

...for those in Haiti who've lost loved ones, who are searching for loved ones, and for those who are at this very moment clinging to their lives and to slim hopes. And for those who are working feverishly to provide relief in so many forms. They need your strength, Jesus... Hear our prayer, O Lord...

Jesus, we pray and humbly ask for your intervention on behalf of our friend Rebecca. We pray for her health, her upcoming surgery and for her employer - that they would show grace and understanding and as she requests time off.

Thank you seems to little to express our gratitude for the awesome report that our friend Kristie received from the doctors!

I find myself still deeply thankful, God, for what you did with our meager efforts with the Christmas Programs...so many seem to have taken steps toward you Father, even some have trusted in your Son for the first time. Help us now, God, to be the compassionate and caring people you call us to be for them...
