If only Intel would come out with a tiny, low power chip for these. Call it "Atom" or something. And then maybe work with companies that have experience building and marketing devices like these. Call them Mobile Internet Devices or something. And then get an open source project for tools to make building software for these devices easier and better - call it http://moblin.org if you want. I think the "secret" force behind friendfeed's succes will be the discussion of the tech bloggers here. It looks like unintended crowdsourcing. There are so many feature (and strategy) suggestions flying by. I think some people *want* friendfeed to win, and friendfeed provides a way to let those people help them. Feedback: 1-day, 3-day, and 7-day look pretty good. 14-day and 30-day summaries seem swamped by the last 7 days (Maybe searches in 10-30-days should have older items weighted heavier than in 1-3-7 day summaries). Awesome! This really helps with the "Page 11" (Search past #300-399 fails design). My Friends feed (of 149 people) only goes back about 4 hrs. Everything past that is lost... Wish my regular Friends feed would save 24+ hrs. Nice job Bret! - Mitchell Tsai

I think a monologue usually has an intended audience. A soliloquy is usually just one talking to one's self, to wit: O, that this too permanent comment would thaw, melt, and resolve itself into a dew! Or that engines of search had not fix'd their canon against cache purge! O God! O God! How weary, stale, flat and unprofitable seem to me all the uses of this social network. - Karim
