Waiting for the famous call. I hear John Borthwick (a Venture Capitalist from UK) will be on the call today along with most of the usual suspects.

So crazy to be frightened of the medium. Was it Doc Searls who talked about the silliness of considering monetizing your front porch? Same thing. Blame the front porch if someone is conspiring on it.

they will create chaos here if they cut communications off when they think they should. what?

Robert only cares about filtering because he has a million friends. Under 1000, who cares?

Scoble is a hoarder. It's an interesting realm to be in, data hoarding but it's not for everyone. Or for that matter, most any individual other than Scoble.

surely K counts babbling against you, etc.

He doesn't have access to my stream, as he stated a while back that he doesn't care. He lost my vote and access to my data.

I don't look at his either. One less filter needed.

Twitter hasn't evolved organically in over 2 years. If they were, they wouldn't have moved against the developer community that made them such a success story.

I just realized how utterly and completely fraught with jargon these weekly talks are. I live in two worlds. Most of my friends would be sure this is a different language.

I don't think it is, he's gonna share a post with me and i'll get an notification e-mail about it and click on the link from the e-mail,then, I'M IN. (saw it on TNW)

Thanks. apparently I screwed this up by trying to accept from my ipod touch last night during the tiny window when they were still accepting new users. Now I have to wait until they have not "temporarily exceeded capacity." Oh well, see you soon!

May 6, 2011: Vezquex wins with a guess of 12,600. DJIA closed down for the week at 12,638.74. Last week's guesses: http://friendfeed.com/dow-gue... Please leave your guesses for next week as comments on this thread and thanks for playing. Week 117 now starting.
Traffic Light is my favorite new show. Quite funny. Fringe, Supernatural, History International, Castle.
- Todd Hoff
Dirty Jobs, NCIS, Holmes Inspection, The Daily Show, Curb Appeal the Block.
- SteVe C
Community, Doctor Who, Being Human UK, and Psych with Warehouse 13 and Archer tied for fifth
- Michael W. May
I don't get cable so there are some I might be wild about that I haven't seen yet. Mad Men (I'm current only through S3, though), Community, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Castle.
- Spidra Webster
Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Fringe, Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead.
- Adrian
One of the most watched shows around FFeed, Burn Notice, hasn't even been mentioned. Interesting.
- Michael W. May
I feel the same way about Breaking Bad! I watched the first couple of seasons of Burn Notice, but lost interest. Will definitely pick it up again in the future. Currently giving Treme another shot. Lost me the first time around but giving it another go. Same goes for Boardwalk Empire.
- Adrian
I guess I like sitcoms. Community is definitely #1. Then Parks and Recreation, Cougar Town, Futurama, and I think Happy Endings is my surprise #5. (It's more my vibe than Modern Family, and it's considerably funnier than the other Friends clones around.)
- Andrew C (✓)
The only comedies I watch are The Office and The Big Bang Theory (and Futurama, but honestly I watch that more for the great sci-fi writing than the comedy). Everyone in the world seems to love Community, so I'll probably give it a shot at some point. Same for 30 Rock. But I'm not a standard comedy guy. I don't like most comedies. Either they're mostly not good, or I'm not easily amused, or both. Getting me to LOL is rare.
- Nathan Chase
And I enjoy Family Guy and Robot Chicken. They're so rapid fire with the cultural references, I'm bound to laugh at at least one of them. Or at least shake my head in disbelief at how far they'll take a joke.
- Nathan Chase
That's bad news Andrew, Traffic Light is a really funny show. Lots of quirky, insightful observation, which I guess is not appreciated. Lie to Me was a good concept and entertaining, but probably no where to go with it. Breaking In had a lot of funny moments, but it would been better if it was more about the actual breaking in. Shouldn't they give these shows some time to find themselves?
- Todd Hoff
MWM, I watch Burn Notice but it isn't a top show for me. Not anymore anyway. There are a lot of shows I watch regularly but I had to whittle it down to 5, eh?
- Spidra Webster
Community, Game of Thrones, Walking Dead.
- Rodfather
