When I look at Char's presentations, and I think about my own teaching, what they have in common is -- fun. Char is having a helluva lotta fun. So am I. But I *never* had fun at MfPOW. MfPOW is deeply suspicious of fun. IF YOU'RE HAVING FUN YOU'RE NOT WORKING YOU SLACKER.

she DID have a helluva lotta fun. If you've never seen her present she's worth seeing, though I'd imagine you and she travel in rather different conference circles. (See, for example, this tweet, which I'm pretty sure was in reference to her keynote: https://twitter.com/#!...)

Oh, she came to WAAL last year. I totally dug her presentation, and wish I had her eye for typography.
