Watching "Red Dawn", never saw it as a child. Always thought it was a submarine movie! Crimson Tide, Hunt for Red Oct, Red Dawn, etc. Wrong.

Leo, should be thousands of musos out there who can write you a theme song (creative commons). Something like the FLOSS theme would be great. Setup a competition. A bit like Paul's "everything must go!"

It should be instrumental (sound effects are ok) and needs to have a strong open and run for 30 seconds, then I start talking and it can go another 30 or more. There should be a post or transition at 30 and the rest should be appropriate for talking over.

The CC attribution requirement is a non-starter - I can't credit the performer EVERY time I play the theme. We play it twice an hour. I can use any ASCAP-BMI licensed music without attribution - we pay the license fees. (Rush Limbaugh, for example, uses The Pretenders, My City Is Gone without any attribution at all, but they get a royalty every time he plays it.) I'm glad to give credit once in a while but I just can't do it every time.

So sad: DL.TV production is going on hiatus effective immediately. The last few months have seen numerous behind the scene changes for DL.TV and the end result is that there are too few bodies left to put out a consistent and quality show.

I think a lot of it has changed since Patrick left to go to Revision 3. I did like DL.tv when Patrick was on, and I don't know if it kept it's popularity since. I hope to see it come back.

In my opinion, Tekzilla has effectively replaced DL.TV. The content, hosts (Patrick, Roger, and sometimes even Robert Heron), segments, and general feel to Tekzilla all remind me of my days watching DL.TV. I switched to Tekzilla when Veronica started hosting the show. It's a great program!

yeah DL.TV really died for me with tekzilla. I still had it as a feed in Miro but it was one of those that I would watch if I had the time while I had sure to watch Tekzilla. Best of luck to Heron and the rest of the crew over there

Tekzilla is way more than DL.TV ever thought about being. Then their fate was sealed after Pat and Roger made the intelligent decision to jump off the sinking ship and go to Rev3, which is where they always belonged. I still can't believe Robert has hung around as long as he has.

And the main reason I stopped watching DL.TV was the complete lack of insight evidenced by the opinions held by those in front of the camera. I get the same feeling now when I listen to people try to guess about the future of Windows 7 when Paul Thurrott has already laid it out for us.

I always wanted to check out DL.TV but never found the time. I think that was their problem. I don't have time to watch Tekzilla too much either but I do find time here and there somehow because I know I will always learn something new.
