"I would bet any amount of money that the REAL reason is because it's simple functionality is easy to use no matter what device or platform you're working with. For Apple it's probably too wide of a reach, since they do love to keep their own devices in check. .Mac/MobileMe/iCloud needed this functionality in order to be useful, but it isn't. Dropbox does. Dropbox is the winner."

"Here's to hoping they've reviewed and fixed an issue where Spotlight doesn't index SMB shares. I didn't discover it until deploying two new iMacs to a couple of graphic designers at work."

"I don't want to offend, but this was an amazing way to tell some bad news. That being said, I really hope you make it through. Cancer is such a bitch."

"Historically this is following suit as the transition from 3G to 3GS, and eventually the 4. However I think the difference between then and now will be because of the multitude of carriers you're now able to sign up with when buying the 4 and 4S. That wasn't available in the previous transition, and might result in the inability to purchase the "iPhone 5" on a subsidized price. The other half of me thinks that anyone who purchased the iPhone 4S between pre-order day and, say, the end of November, will be allowed to purchase the "iPhone 5" at a full subsidized rate. (Note: I came up with "the end of November" only because that's when I'm eligible to purchase at full subsidized price with a new 2-year agreement.)"

"What are the chances of this preceding a Xbox 360S with a 320GB HDD? I'm in the market for (yet another) new 360. I think this will be my last."
