The Marijuana Rehab Industry & Loopy Lettuce - http://loopylettuce.wordpress.com/2009...
Marijuana and other drug users are sentenced to treatment they don't need on a regular basis. The private addiction treatment industry thrives on the thousands of "addicts" coerced into treatment by courts. Drug courts frequently give defendants the option to take rehab or prison time. - Kelly Matthews
Penn. Court Tosses 6,500 Juvenile Convictions After Scandal | Criminal Justice | Change.org - http://criminaljustice.change.org/blog...
It was one of the most upsetting, egregious judicial corruption stories in recent memory. Two former Pennsylvania judges are awaiting trial for allegedly accepting millions of dollars in kickbacks from private detention facilities to convict juveniles and send them to be incarcerated. - Kelly Matthews

Are you asleep? Exploring the minds twilight zone - life - 07 October 2009 - New Scientist - http://www.newscientist.com/article...
"EARLIER this year, a puzzling report appeared in the journal Sleep Medicine. It described two Italian people who never truly slept. They might lie down and close their eyes, but read-outs of brain activity showed none of the normal patterns associated with sleep. Their behaviour was pretty odd, too. Though largely unaware of their surroundings during these rest periods, they would walk around, yell, tremble violently and their hearts would race. The remainder of the time they were conscious and aware but prone to powerful, dream-like hallucinations." - Kelly Matthews

Sentenced to death on the NHS - Telegraph - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health...
Anyone that believes a terminal patient should be left for dead, is sick. They deserve to live their life as comfortably as possible. And who is anyone to judge when a person is deemed worthy of death, give me a break. This is where we are headed folks, of course we are already there in some cases, ie. the recent case in Oregon. - Kelly Matthews

50 Amazing Ramen Noodle Recipes | College Survival Guide Part 1 - http://om.ly/IpKb
Going to college requires a lot of your time, which doesn't allow you to cook your common four-course meal. Using the age-old college fallback, ramen noodles, you can cook yourself a tasty treat in a short amount of time without breaking the bank. - Kelly Matthews
Straight, Inc. - Vanguard News Network Forum - http://www.vnnforum.com/showthr...
I was dismayed to find out various offshoots of this controversial drug treatement program still exist. During '80's "Straisht, Inc" was a drug treatment program for teenagers and played off some of "war on drugs" hysteria during that time period. It was generally administered by sadistic Jesus-freaks that had no professional experience or qualifications for effective drug rehabilitation or rehabilitation in general. Thousands of white kids (the clientele was virtually all-white) were tortured, humiliated, brainwashed, sexually abused, denied medical care, and then forced to exact the same treatment on other white kids. - Kelly Matthews

If I had a drinking problem, this beats an abusive rehab or 12 step program any day. From the page: "Treating Alcohol Addiction: Can a Pill Replace Abstinence? By Maia Szalavitz Tuesday, Jul. 28, 2009 They call it "the switch." Alcoholics who take an anticraving medication called baclofen say the drug allows them to resist the most powerful triggers of relapse: former drinking buddies, a favorite bar, the sight of alcohol or even the most potent drinking cue of all, having a single drink." - Kelly Matthews
