Choosing Google Voice number is a bit harder than necessary.

It took me a half-hour to choose one I liked. Too many choices is a bad thing really.

I might settle with a 909 and my name, can't really make that much use of it until other countries get Voice.

So, Google shows you the mnemonics when you choose the number, but never again?

The big decision was between area code versus mnemonic. I figured that most people have "free" long distance and end up dialing 10-digits anyway so I went with the mnemonic. 347-TRUE-JOY. It is also possible to change your number in the future (with forwarding) but it cost you $10.
