Same here. I've liked it when shows incorporate a fake version of a famous thing (the not-Doctor Who in Community, Faux Beastmaster in Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles), but that's usually because they're moderately clever. - Jennifer Dittrich

I also think the way the bulk of the cast was killed off made for some really good tv.
