<blockquote>It's pretty funny, really. People do seem more willing to buy these ridiculous blankets with arms than they are to pay for music these days. I think that's the point.</blockquote> What's funny is how much more value you get out of a Snuggie than a record as lousy as this one. Weezer sucks. I don'teven mean to troll this post, but they are a terrible band now. I was presented with the opportunity to download their album for free and passed. I loved their self-titled record, I loved Pinkerton, but Cuomo is a sellout and now if you really think this material compares to those records then you must be high.

This fits under one of those "I dunno..." features. Sure it sounds super useful, but why just one image? What about groups of images? Then you need gallery handling in Wordpress? Its a slippery slope. I'd rather just get a really good plugin.

Another convoluted platform move. Adobe needs to be releasing high-powered Flash support for Android. Apple wants nothing to do with your platform, Adobe.

Google's cooking up some new identification technology using the old school FINGER protocol. Al though I love the idea, I think its a little short sighted to attach identities to people email addresses. At least ones for services like gmail, hotmail, etc. Maybe Google thinks you'll always want your gmail address, or that with a service like this youll never be able to afford to get rid of it. Either way, I don't like being truly beholden to Google for anything. I use Google Reader to post to this blog, but I don't have to. I use Google Voice, but I could use Skype or another competing service. Defining your identity @gmail.com in my mind doesn't solve anything. It may move the ball down the field, but its a stopgap. Maybe that's all they want it to be, until people understand OpenID more.

I'm so conflicted. I've been using google reader's json feed to publish to my tumblr account for a while. Now I'm supposed to just tear it down and use Google's code? I guess I'll try it. It probably won't let me write these sassy notes, though.
