Maybe I'm misreading something, but if non-Internet marketing had to work like Google enforces Internet marketing through them, most businesses relying on people selling their products on a commission basis would go out of business. No adverts would be allowed either. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Is there any future in affiliate sales any more?

Sorry you're having this problem Frans. I can listen to it ok in the UK - Europe, but doesn't help you in Africa :( At least hopefully I've helped to keep your question near the top of the group so that anyone who knows a definitive answer might see it.

A lot of people can not hear you. They mentioned it many times last year. I guess you choose to ignore this. Thinking they are lying or they are complainers. I CAN'T HEAR YOU

YOU NEED TO HANDLE THIS Ed TERMEDELY. When people can't hear you it's more upsetting then you realize. I notice people are extremely polite about it so you don't think it's a big deal. It truly is upsetting to people. AND IT HURTS YOU. People drop out of your program because THEY CAN NOT HEAR YOU. I got about half way through 30DC last year and I couldn't take it anymore. I wouldn't sign up for 30DC+ only because I couldn't hear you. If you want to make people happy YOU HAVE TO PROJECT Ed. You have to project your voice into the microphone. It will make people happy and it will mean a great deal more income for you. Please take this as a help flow Ed.

Russ, I understand where you're coming from, but I'm someone who also knows about these things and I have never had a problem hearing Ed. And I don't have any fancy equipment or even a fancy computer. Usually watch the videos or live feed on my 5 year old laptop with a Plantronics headset....

...During the live show the other night Dan was a bit louder and echoey at times but Ed has always come across loud and clear. Anyone who is having problems with hearing the audio, I would suggest first looking at your audio set-up, and make sure you listen through headphones. Computer speakers can often be the culprit.

I'm not saying anyone is lying that they can't hear, but there are so many settings and other things that could have caused it - if others can hear fine then it's a sign that the problem isn't Ed's end. I'm semi-deaf from years of wearing industrial size headphones with loud music blaring through them so if I can hear him it can't be his settings!

We've had this discussion several times before. E.g. http://ff.im/1Hr9R. I find Ed's videos and audios to have low sound levels. I resolve that by using earphones. Same laptop, Dan's videos/audios are perfect (all Imm Edge in fact). I suggested that Ed post a pdf transcript at least for all his TEACHING videos/audios. The marketing/announcement stuff doesn't need pdf. The pdf transcripts are searchable, storable locally on hard disk, and can be read through in 10 minutes, compared to watching for 40 mins.

Though I have never had trouble hearing Ed with my headset, I do know that I have had the volumes at the upper levels..... Just like on TV you would not want to have a set maximum... some people may want to Crank it up and do housework! I am not discounting that some may have audio issues, it would seem to me to be prudent to provide a much higher than needed Volume and the rest of us can turn our volume down - Mark

The issue I had with the audio was that Dan was so much louder that I couldn't hear Ed when I turned the sound down for Dan (who was otherwise blasting in my ears). Also, people's hearing inevitably changes as they get older (even if they don't need hearing aids), so it's great if we can provide audio that can be turned low for young people with good hearing but plenty of room to be turned up by other people.

You know what it is. A lot of people hear Ed just fine (so they say above) and I've seen this before. So I believe he must be speaking loud enough (since many people hear him fine) (so it's not Ed's fault) but I could swear some of us, our computers are not picking up his audio.for whatever reason. Get everybody elses audio just find, no problem, but with 30DC all of a sudden certain...

Hello everybody! Really excited about the preseason...the thing is I'm confused with these time zones, can somebody tell me what time does the show start in my time zone (my calculations tell me it's going to start at 2:30 am so I just wanted to double check cause I'm not sure). I'm from Slovenia, Europe.

I can't wait for the 30DC and preseason to start. I just hope it's not going to focus on Market Samurai too much, cause the "fast" one rules out a lot of people. And PLEASE record the TV shows and put it somewhere in a downloadable form for us poor sods with streaming problems. Even my 512 ADSL cannot cope with Ustream
I think the main focus will lie on Facebook. But I guess they won't get rid of Market Samurai as it's such a great tool.

Market Samurai is a fantastic tool, but the new version doesn't work. Supposedly my connection out to the USA is too slow and about that I can do nothing. Sigh! Facebook works fine though, and I'm thankful for that.

Anybody else have a problem with Flock lately? Almost all the social media functionality disappeared. Even reinstalling didn't help.
I pretty much use FireFox now. Flock was/is falling apart. If I'm not mistaken and understood right, 30DC won,t be pushing Flock this year either.

Gave up on Flock last year. Moved to FireFox, but now using Google Chrome - not sure if any plug ins are available yet (not had the need to find any and revert to FireFox if I need anything in particular) but it is super quick, simple and straight forward.

I've run into the same problems with Flock. I loved it when I started with it but now it refuses to open certain pages, etc. Tried upgrading to 2.5 but that gave me even more problems so downgraded back to 2.0. Loved Flock but will try using Firefox. - Gina

At this stage I am very close to giving up. The moment I start getting decent traffic Google ditches all my keywords. I'm struggling to research new niches. Market Samurai has stopped working altogether since the much awaited supposedly fast version was released.
I've submitted tickets, but to no avail. I cannot even check them out because the helpdesk keeps telling me I don't have have access to the tickets. The 30DC starts soon, but I don't know if it's worth it as I'm down in the Mariana Trench at this stage.:-((

MS has been messing up for me also. First time I have had problems since buying last year. The new update I think is the culprit. I put in a ticket and they asked for the project I was doing to get more info on the problem, haven't heard back since (2 days now), must be taking the holiday off.

Ditches my keywords means they disappear for no good reason (that I can ascertain) from the rankings. One day #5 next day #39, next day #197 then gone. Not for one keyword or one site either. Different keywords, different sites. Then it maybe comes back in two or three months, slowly climbs the ladder and then disappears again.

Yes. Actually, I guess sites disappear from Google anytime, and for any reason. And when they'll be back can be unpredictable.There's no way to stop it. So I think it's a good idea to have as many pathways leading to your main site as possible. Have succeeded in getting MS to look at the problem. Seems to have something to do with download speeds. Hope they solve it soon. I have Squidoo, Hubpage and Weebly pages. Maybe not enough different pages of content. Will try some more articles. Have quite good rankings in Yahoo, but the traffic is much less than from Google if it ranks.

Yes. 3 Web 2.0 Sites are definitely not enough. The Social Media Daily Blueprint by Michelle Macphearson contains a huge list of other Web 2.0 sites you should submit to. It's a good reference. Look for a lot more different sites to create content from such as Blogger, Xanga, Vox.com, etc.

Hi Frans, I saw this and wanted to leave you a note to update. I checked into the issue, and found that the cause might be related to download speeds. We're doing some analysis to work out the precise cause now - and you've been extremely patient (thankyou!) As you know, Market Samurai downloads a lot of information very quickly - and if it's not able to suck all of the information through the pipe fast enough, it can experience issues. I just wanted to let you know we're on top of things and encourage you.

A drop in google ranking is normal. You get good rankings, then they drop, but they will return. Just make sure you build quality links back to you site - constantly and evenly - don't do lots and stop, keep going and spread them out. Also add new content to your site constantly and in an even rythm, maybe once a week.

Big problem. Since upgrading to the fast version of Market Samurai I can't use it. It hangs while getting Google Synonyms. Does anybody have the same problem? Submitted tickets to MS, but cannot check them because I'm not allowed access.

I have not upgraded to the new version and getting results back, then disappear when I click on a keyword to open a new tab. Can't get it back, negative keywords are there..just not the good ones. My other keyword tool is working(not as extensive though) Think I might wait a day or 2 before installing the newest version.. Strange.. Mcphereson's seems to work fine in her latest videos. After viewing their feeds a lot is hitting them right now, they should make a post/email
