Why does Flickr guidelines contradict copyright access by stating "if you post a Flickr photo to an ext. site, ... must link back to page"
@maginashun @kellbailey that seems to be the problem with Flickr. There TOS doesn't comply with the ind. copyright of photos.

I got my 1st job via applying online, so I disagree. I believe you have to use ALL methods at your disposal in your search, not just online or offline-only. There's no legal requirement for companies to post job listings or even to conduct a public, open hiring process, so the listings are there for a reason. It's true that you'll have an inside line if you actually know the hiring...

@LANjackal: actually, for state/ government jobs as well as any others "equal opportunity" employers, they are required to conduct a public, open hiring process, otherwise they can be sued for discrimination. Whether they actually hire the person or not, is up to the company. My first real job was a state one at a college, and they knew about three candidates that they wanted, but they...
