I lived in England for twenty years in the 80's and 90's, where they pay double what we pay in America. I lived in London, and didn't own a car for about seven years. The attitude towards public transportation is totally different there. We still don't get it here. I didn't know what an SUV was until I moved back to the USA. I don't feel that we will easily break the American love affair with big cars.

That's my concern. I'm not convinced that $6/gallon gas will break the U.S. love affair with autos. I think it will take more like $10/gas.

Paul: when will it become $10/gallon gas in the US?

Clinton says there are still Twitters to be heard and not decide anything til Twitter's down. Oops, I think Twitter is down again.

Clinton says whale and birds should be counted

um... yeah Obama has twitter loyalty. this proves ELITISM! what is the point?
- Noah David Simon
I wouldn't call it elitism, but measurement of online activity is not representative of the population as a whole. If it were, Obama would lose to Ron Paul, with Clinton and McCain in single digits.
