"convince people to not eat meat" I've never heard of someone not eating meat because of PETA. PETA did an amazing campaign raising awareness regarding fast food chains and the chicken raising industry, which resulted in increased standards. They targeted McDonalds, and therefore got a lot of visibility. It's ironic to me that you like the women photographed, but not their views- they weren't convinced by PETA, they were animal-rights fans to begin with. - anna sauce

But I have to say Harryman, despite hating PETA, is playing into their hands. They're exactly the demographic. Not crunchy feminist 30-something SF residents like me, no, but the men out there who have never given to PETA, and now they may if there's some hope of a calendar coming that doesn't have SportsIllustrated SwimSuit edition plastered over the cover and their wives can look at them lovingly and say, "You gave to PETA?
