Anyone out there expecting rain? I'd like to see if there is a different look for YES. :) - Yolanda
I laughed out loud! HAHA - Mona Nomura
Yolanda, do a Seattle zip code to see "YES". Try 98101. I have a feeling it'll say "YES" for us in Seattle every single day... - Rochelle
Thanks, Rochelle! - Yolanda
Idiot proof - nice! - Susan Beebe
This site is pretty boring in socal! I woulda loved it living in boston tho. - Frankie Warren
For Florida: Is it summer? YES. Otherwise NO. ;) - Alix Whitmire
what a great idea! cool work. - Arda Çetin
This is kind of like the weather rock. Put a rock outside your kitchen window. If it's wet, it's raining. If it's gone, there's a tornado. - ax0n
Brilliant, thats all I can say. - Wolfman-K
It's clever, stupid and handy all rolled into one. - Steve Sebestyen from twhirl
Not needed in the UK, the answer is always: "Indeed you do!" - Mathieu Ayel
LOL, Matthew. Wel, "never take a chance" I'd say. ;-)" - Kol Tregaskes from twhirl
Brilliant! Seeing that that's the only thing anyone is ever likely to care about. Who gives a damn about degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit? - Vijayendra (V-Mo) Mohanty
It is currently raining and they tell me I do not need an umbrella... Um... Wrong. - Nicole

ok im having a brain block. I have my domain jeffisageek.net and I want when someone types 'jeffisageek.net' to be sent to jeffisageek.net/blog . I thought just forwarding would work but is not. what do i need to do for that to happen? I think I have lost my mind :)
in an index.html page on jeffisageek.net, insert : <head><meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; url=http://jeffisageek.net/blog"></head>....should work - Olivier
did you try a page redirect?(<HTML> <HEAD> <!-- Send users to the new location. --> <TITLE>redirect</TITLE> <META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="5;URL=URL HERE"> </HEAD> <BODY> This page has moved. You will be automatically redirected to its new location in 10 seconds. If you aren't forwarded to the new page, <a href="URL HERE"> click here</a>. </BODY> </HTML>) - stanleyyork
Are you hosting your own or on another server? If you host your own it's a simple change in the conf file. - FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
you can use mod_rewrite in the httpd.conf or vhost.conf file or add the rules to an .htaccess file at the document root. Simplest way, however, is to use a standard meta-refresh redirect (as mentioned already) or a php file that redirects the user. - Paulo Elias
Olivier has it - use that - Susan Beebe
I think it depends on your web server. With IIS you wouldn't have to create a page to do it, if I remember correctly. If you are on a hosted server running *NIX one of the above solutions looks right. - Alex Scoble
php redirect if faster - Keith - @tsudo
Hey Jeff, Oliver is correct in that the code he posted will get people to your site, however if you are concerned with SEO that will not be the best option for you. HTML meta refreshes are considered temporary redirects and as such crawlers will not follow the link. If this is a permanent move you will want to investigate a 301 redirect, like this php one here: - Aaron Krug
<? Header( "HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently" ); Header( "Location: http://www.new-url.com" ); ?> - Aaron Krug
There is an option for this in the wordpress settings panel and a link to instructions specific to wordpress. Worked well enough for me in the past. - Nicole
