The iPhone is pretty important to me, but I don't own one. FriendFeed users with iPhones gave me the answers I needed to make my site useful to them.
- Bruce Lewis
My division used to be part of Motorola, and for some odd reason Motorola didn't want to buy iPhones for its employees. :) And for personal use, they're pricey.
- John E. Bredehoft
No sir, BlackBerry addict reporting in (I have 3 at the moment)
- matthew john ernisse
I don't have an iPhone, and have no real interest in getting one. Much of what is now being added to the iPhone, I already have on my Blackberry anyway. Also I'm not at all keen on touch screens, and I don't like AT&T.
- Ian May
No, I don't have an iPhone... but I want one.
- DGentry
Nope, never did. I played with it for 10 minutes and decided against it. I'm not the only person who has a Palm Pre, from what I understand :)
- jcunwired
I don't have one either. Not enamored with AT&T. Trying to figure out which toy of verizon's to purchase.
- Peggy Dolane
I mainly don't like the coverage. They all suck when it comes to services and contracts.
- Rodfather
Blackberry Addict! More economical to have in Jamaica:) iPhone would be too expensive to have for me here, meh.
- Gordon Swaby
Um, lots of reasons to hate AT&T... right now I'm hating them because after buying the original iPhone, then the iPhone 3G, I now have to pay $399 to upgrade to the same low-end 16GB model that new customers pay $199 for... that does NOT sound like rewarding your customers for their loyalty... it sounds more like punishing them :-(
- Fred Davis
Fred: It's still better than *any other carrier* because they don't let you upgrade until your contract is up or close to with the exception of Verizon. The reason why it is $200 more is because you weren't paying the subsidized on the original iPhone. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...
- Zach Flauaus
Too expensive on the contract side. Weak that they want you to pay more than other phones for the contracts. No good explanation other than "they're subsidizing the iPhone" pfft. Shopping for a nokia or maybe looking at a G1. I just don't like T-Mobile much either.
- guruvan (Rob Nelson)
Two major strikes for me: 1) Not open. 2) On AT&T. Do not want.
- Adam Lasnik
Rob, I continued with the plan I had (here in Canada) which I started with a plain ol' SIM-based cell phone. I don't have iphone-specific functionality (like visual voicemail) or internet access via cell network, so I just use wifi for email/browsing. It's a 1st gen iphone.
- Micah Wittman
Rob, one tip: to disable iphone trying to access the net through the cell network (which if you don't have a data plan can just get charged at an on-demand rate - not pretty) you need to change the access point name in the settings. SEE http://brent.kearneys.ca/2008...
- Micah Wittman
No iPhone here, thanks. No Apple Crap at all , in fact
- sjjh
Nope! No iPhone! I think iMacs are great stuff but if I buy a mobile, it should be mine to do whatever I like with it. And anyway my old Nokia N95 can do anything the iPhone does and more. iPhone envy? Don't think so.
- Adrian Scicluna
No iphone. Verizon is way better than AT&T for me. I tried AT&T for 6 months (family plan with my brother) and it was way worse in my travel areas. Doesn't work in my parent's house in Ohio. Drops more calls (and delivers voice-mails late) about 10X as often as Verizon. On the other hand, if I lived in Fairfax, CA, I'd have to have AT&T, since Verizon is poor in north Marin.
- Mitchell Tsai
i don't and i am confident that i never will. don't even have a smartphone
- Nathan Rein
no iphone, no plans to get one. Happy with whatever Verzon offers - currently a BB curve that does everything I need it to.
- Mike Nencetti
In 3 days after everyone buys a $99 one... Yup! :-)
- Walt Ruppar
Don't have one, don't want one :) Not an Apple fan.
- Renee Hendricks
I'd love to have an iPhone, but do not want to get anywhere near AT&T. Can you imagine the sales if Apple had not been stupid and tied themselves to crappy AT&T? Looks like Palm Pre is the way to go for me.
- Chris Gardner
I have great luck with AT&T, and always have, but I can't get over the double rate for the data service for the iPhone, and I'm not happy with any of the carriers tethering restrictions.
- guruvan (Rob Nelson)
Nope! I don't have one and don't want one. My WindowsMobile based HTC Touch Pro has a full keyboard, has less restrictions (totally open system), and has more features. Also, I use Sprint which has faster data speeds anyway, and since I'm on the grandfathered SERO program, I only pay $30/mo for unlimited EVERYTHING. most of my iphone buddies pay at least TRIPLE THAT every month. hahaha, suckers!
- veo
right, because what one has means nothing as long as others have less. :p
- Josh Haley
No, Apple says that, collectively, 40 million "iPhone OS devices" have been sold. There's gotta be at least, like, 50 million people on the planet, so you have plenty of friends.
- David Chartier
