No follow is only used by Google & only stops from passing PR, Many say that Google will still follow, as I understand it. Other bots do not pay any attention to the Rel="nofollow" tag & just go about their business. I post on NoFollow blogs & they still count as backlinks by many of the SE's. - Sheryl Loch

You can still have your 2 links in the Ezine Articles Resource Box, and they will both be Follow links. A tip is to use the whole of your url, and have one deep-linked into one of your blog posts' pages and the other to your blog main webpage. - Isha (Marysia)

When doing link analysis I've seen where nofollow links have still been credited...but as Sheryl says, they don't pass PR. - Susan_Smith

I personally never put my own link in an ezine article anyway - and rarely any link, unless it is completely relevant to the article. As pointed out - article is GIVE and resource box TAKE. - Lisa

Lisa, how do you get round the fact that our affiliate links are on every post of our blogs because we utilise the right and/or left columns for our affiliates? I've especially written a blog post so that people can come and get more value straight from the article, but I'm being told that we can only give the top-level url in this case. That would mean people having to click around to find the post. A bit rubbish that. - Isha (Marysia)

@Marysia The point of this post was that links that are in the *body* of your article(s) will not carry any "link juice" to benefit PR ranking, you can still use them to direct readers to your blog/product. But heres the thing, your articles are about one thing really, giving some value and "Getting the Click" Not making a sale.The article should engage them to read through to your Resource box where you would have your link(s) that would then take them to your blog post, sales page, optin page etc. - Ron"micronet"Harwood

My reply was in regards to your statement that only top-level url can be used. Where was that mentioned? I would say that only applies if its stated in the article directories terms. Usually you can have what link you want in your resource box.Point was, having *body links* isn't that big of a deal as long as we still has a resource box.Thats the work around ;-) - Ron"micronet"Harwood

The guidelines say that if you have an affiliate link on the webpage you're linking to (in the Resource Box) then it has to be a top level domain url. So you can't link to a *particular post* if you have an affiliate link that appears on every page. A lot of peeps are having their articles rejected as a result (when the link isn't to, say www/[mydomain].com) - Isha (Marysia)

I see the problem there Marysia, and I too like to link internally within my blog sometimes and not directly to the main blog. In the case of EZA it's a matter of following their rules, accepting a great backlink to your blog, and making it as easy as possible for people clicking through to your blog to find the info they want most and will find valuable. There are some other good article directories that are more relaxed about the rules, that you might like to try - Lisa
