It turns out that private equity, famous for taking off August (like our friends in Europe) also takes off for the 4th of July weekend starting today. I shall take my cues from them. Bring on the holiday weekend!

@tweetdeck I find the current version unusable. After about a year absence I figured I would give you a try again. But the incessant popups and chirps are just horrible. I can't even click on the settings with all the friggin popups. Blech.
Why is twitter down so much recently? I appreciate you taking the blame, twitter, but I'd prefer to just send my useless thoughts into nothingness so I can move on ;-) (just kidding sensitive tweeple...who can't even see this far unless they've clicked through. Muahahaha.

I don't understand why the GOP is so concerned with gay rights and the trampling thereof. Is it self loathing? I must look deeper, because there must be a reason these people are talking so much about gay people. I feel naive here. Need jaded input.
