I now get the FriendFeed Feedback posts as a Best of Day email so it doesn't fill up my feed, but I don't miss feedback. I also set up a "Best of Day" email for my "Technology people" friend list so I get a pretty good overview of tech news every day via email.

Wow, this is really neat! And it links into the idea I expressed earlier, re: reducing signup friction / enabling limited guest privileges. Imagine if I could embed one of my FF rooms on my personal web site, and enable people to subscribe to that feed by e-mail with just a couple of clicks... rather than saying "you can get e-mail notifications but you have to sign up for Friendfeed first." "sign up" -- though admirably lightweight on FF -- is still a huge barrier.

So this works on groups too, cool! But we still cannot see Best of for groups on the site on friends lists. :-( I have several friends lists that include just groups and when I select to view the best of the page it's empty (even though if I got to the individual best of for those groups there are entries there).

We have received numerous reports of excessive FriendFeed posts showing up in Facebook this evening. While we are not 100% sure, it appears to be an issue on Facebook's end due to ignoring application settings. We have disabled all FriendFeed updates to Facebook until we are sure the problem is resolved.

See http://www.techcrunch.com/2009... for more information - it seems to also have impacted Twitter's Facebook app. Again, we are not sure if it is a problem on our end or not, but we are investigating now.

If there’s something about friends and family not having their account set up properly, I’d prefer a way to recommend them the streams they forgot to add. For example, I could tell them “You forgot to add your Digg stream and your fourth and eight blog. Here’s the link.” Then he could just click the recommendation and had it set up easily.

After going through the documentation and playing around with some feeds, I love the fact that you can now see the subscriber lists of people who have their feeds set to private as long as you are subscribed to them and authenticate (mimicking the main site functionality). One thing that's absent is a discussion of Direct Messages. Do they show up in feeds if you authenticate? How do we find just direct messages?

I'm all for improving the format of notifications, but wonder (aloud) if it is such a smart move to include the Approve/Reject link right at the top (unless it only appears in private feeds to which someone has requested access). Right now we have the option of blocking/ rejecting a subscriber at any time but presumably not at the very outset. This may lead to more of a walled gardens' mentality, already very prevalent at FF.

Gmail automatically showed me the images in a subscription email, even though I never told it to (you know how gmail has the 'display images below' option). further, it doesn't give me the option to hide the images. not that I'd want to, but how are you bypassing gmail's security feature to hide the images?

Chris, the "show images" only applies to external images hosted on other sites. Gmail doesn't show those by default because doing so would allow people to "bug" email. We include the images with the email so that they can be displayed immediately.

I don't think I could argue that any particular kind of ratio is "best", because if Lurkers like to Lurk and cultivate (via Likes) and the Chatty-ites love to chat, to pump out much many more comments than Likes, each can be happy and make for a great social experience.

Then you have someone like RAPatton, who posts a gazillion comments, in part because of his playlist posts where he will list each song in a separate comment. I found, after this post in fact, that I tended to "like" things much more frequently than comment on them, that I was lurking instead of participating. I have changed the way I use ff rather considerably, and I think for the better.

linux platform: even if I specify my own directory (/home/marco/backupff) in config.properties, JaFFA still tries to read files from /backup/ff. Message error is: "java.io.FileNotFoundException: /backup/ff/machms/..."

Eclipse project files come with the source. Download/install eclipse (http://www.eclipse.org/downloa...). Then use Import -> General -> Existing Projects into Workspace - and it will compile it for you. Shoot questions if you have any problem

برای کسانی که می خوان اسپم ها رو پاک کنن، من یک قسمت جدید به برنامه اضافه کردم که میتونید لیست افرادی که اسپم می کنند را به فایل کانفیگ اضافه کنید و برنامه رو اجرا کنید. خود به خود تمام کامنت های این افراد را در هر جایی که زیر لینک های شما باشه پاک می کنه حتی اگر اونها را بلاک کرده باشید. ولی شرطش اینه که پابلیک باشید. مثلن اگر پرایوت هستید، میتونید قبل از اجرای برنامه برای چند لحظه پابلیک بشید و وقتی برنامه تمام شد دوباره پرایوت کنید

دو نوع فایل اونجا هست. یک سری فایل سورس هست (اس-آر-سی) و یک سری فایل باینری (بی-آی-ان). باید اون فایل باینری رو دانلود کنید. بعد توی یک فولدر آن-زیپ ش کنید. بعد یک فایل داره به اسم رید-می (مرا بخوانید) که همه چیز توش نوشته شده

如果现在开始天天揣着毛笔，任何书写都用小楷完成，那过个两年是不是也能写到毛笔盛行年代最一般的水平呢? 没有来由，只为“赏心悦目”。看了看手下的键盘，想想那个时代就这么远去，觉得有点可惜。每年回老家看外公抄的太极四八式招数表甚至于电视节目的台号和频道号映射表，都觉得很惭愧。
一般估计到不了。。但让自己看着还舒服是肯定行的了。。

草书写起来也挺快的；只是需要频繁蘸墨汁，深冬还得呵笔尖，这阵仗未免有点夸张。

我的是wifi版，amazon的账户自动生成的是name@kindle.com（应该是免费推送邮箱），试过read later/readability/klip其中readlater生成的instapaper杂志但是内容摘取不完善（现在图片没有摘取倒是摘取了很多评论啥的杂项），其他支持还好。字体：推送的内容字体应该默认是日语字体，因此显示会出现问题，我觉得中文Mhei我还可以接受，root后我只更改了日语字体，推送的文章字体就变了宋体。
