Watching NCIS re-runs and I finally decided to google Cote de Pablo. I tell Mom, "She's from Chile!" and some other bits from Cote's IMDB profile. Mom stares at me amazed. "You found all that on the computer?!?" - http://www.imdb.com/media...

You have a nice mother! That's all that it means! haha! :) - Éric Senterre
Saw "Paranormal Activity". That was fun.
Heh. My sister thought it was a true story. - Yolanda
I really want to see that! - Beau "Slick Foot" Liening from iPhone

Thanks, Yolanda! <3 - Melissa
Dear Ford Motor Company - how can someone have 7+ years experience in "Social and Emerging Media". Youtube (one of the sites mentioned) is only 4 years old.
My dialup BBS experience in 7th grade was emerging and social... and there were door games which means pretty pictures (that's media!). That should give me... *ponder* 27 years experience :D - Michael W. May
ha! :p - Yolanda from IM
I've been blogging since 2001. - Alex Scoble
i've been complaining on the Internet since 1994. - Joe Silence is not dead
They also mention digg... that one was founded in 2004 as well. - Yolanda from IM
Yep, I've been internetting since 94. I've got 15 years experience. - Yolanda from IM
7+ years in internet time. Though, y'know, sixdegrees.com was founded in 1997... - Andrew C
IRC is certainly social. - Joe Silence is not dead
Also, Playboy is looking for a "Social Media/Audience Development Manager" Only need 5 to 7 years experience for that one. - Yolanda from IM
I've been on usenet since 1994... well, to be honest, I haven't used it in probably 3-4 years now. - Andrew C
I used Compact Disks when they first came out, AND I talked to my friends about them. That gives me 24 years in social and emerging media. :-) - Slippy "Threadsbane" Lane
I'm waiting for someone looking for experience in social media failure. After all, I am one of only a handful of people who launched blogging products in the first couple years of the decade who never made a dime. :D - Roger Benningfield
Yolanda, I saw a job listing with exactly this kind of problem earlier today. Puts me off of the company altogether since it makes them look out of touch... - FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
I've been online since 1992, so it's possible to have loads of experience in emerging media. - cecily
Exactly, Tina. If you are going to list specific websites that you want a person to have experience with, at least make the years of experience match up. - Yolanda from IM
I assume they want 7 years of traditional media experience with an ever-increasing share devoted to online and social stuff. Think about it - most of us FFers are small-scale social media whizzes but we're not actually trained or qualified as marketers or community managers or communications directors, are we? - Daniel J. Pritchett
I figured as much. I just think it is funny that they are asking someone to have a minimum of 7 years experience with Youtube, Facebook, and Digg. If I read correctly, none of them were around in 2002. - Yolanda from IM
Maybe you could claim that time spent on multiple social sites is like concurrent prison sentences? - Greg GuitarBuster
hahahaha ++ - Marco(aureliusmaximus)

... a galactogogue. - Rochelle
eventhough I suspected with that meant, Rochelle. I had to google anyway to be sure. :) - Yolanda from IM
anway, today I discovered that oatmeal isn't that great without extra sugar. Today's oatmeal had some raisins, granola, and one packet of equal. Tomorrow's oatmeal will require a different approach. - Yolanda from IM
A great sub for white paste when you are out of glue. - John D Reasor
healthy, can be made several yummy ways, and doesn't give me stomach cramps when I'm running - Shevonne
Right there with you, Yolanda: have to have sweet in my oatmeal. Also, have to have some salt (typically butter). Today's batch was not quite enough butter and I find it a touch bland... - FFing Enigma (aka Tina)
a pinch of salt, butter, brown sugar or maple syrup, craisins, optional toasted pecans. NOMNOMNOMNOM - ha3rvey (doink doink)
Yummmmmmm. I just add peanut butter. Sometimes a little agave nectar. - Alix Whitmire
comforting on a cold winter afternoon - VAL D.
something I eat a couple of times a week for breakfast. I like the Irish Steel Cut Oatmeal in preference to the regular Quaker style rolled oatmeal. I never ever buy the quick oats, and that has had a good percentage of the fiber, and the cholesterol lowering benefits removed by the process. - Ian May
Satans glue - Mo Kargas
lol Mo - VAL D.
Baked oatmeal is fantastic! Especially with apples, cinnamon, and a wee bit of brown sugar. - Katy S
Nifty made kinda thick, with a well in the middle for half&half, and a crunchy sprinkle of sugar. - m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
I make my oatmeal with water, and nothing else. That's how I like it. - Ian May
Great aide in losing weight. No sugar for me ;) - Bicentennial (Franc)
I don't generally take sugar (and never ever any of those nasty tasting chemical sweeteners) with anything. - Ian May
Nutritious and very filling.....try it with a tablespoon or two of fat-free Smuckers Jam......yummy! - Bonnie Foster
soft on my toothless gums - L Stephen Cleary
......also good with cut up dried fruit, like apricots or cranberries. - Bonnie Foster
so healthy, but very boring... - anjelina
@Oatmeal - Matthew Inman ;) - Mona Nomura
... fantastic with apples, blueberries and walnuts! - Ken Morley
no match for waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon, and biscuits. - Derrick

I'm reading that LED TVs have much lower power consumption than the standard LCD TV. Are there any serious drawbacks to having the LED over a standard LCD?
None that I'm aware of...at least if they are backlit with local dimming. - Alex Scoble
LED tv's look amazing! I want! But my Wallet says noooo - Giraffes Up In The AIr

Black Canary? - ha3rvey (doink doink)
Screaming Blonde - Joe Silence is not dead
Yep, Black Canary. - josh neff, Fun Dip of FF
pfft, i prefer my answer. - Joe Silence is not dead
Black Canary, one of my favorites. The only thing I don't like about her is they pair her up with Green Arrow and she is so out of his league - RAPatton
AFRICAN AMERICAN Canary - insensitive dolts - Matthew DeVries
This picture would be so much better with the fishnets. Just sayin' - ha3rvey (doink doink)
"screaming blonde" ha! :D - Yolanda from IM
Amen to that, Silent Three. Her costume is the best. - RAPatton
I'm reading the wikipedia entry on black canary right now. It would be cool to be able to follow her storyline all in one book. Or any of these ladies, for that matter. - Yolanda from IM
If she interests you, you want to get Gail Simone's run on Birds of Prey. It was really good and followed Black Canary, Huntress and Oracle (The Barbara Gordon Batgirl, why is wheel chair bound due to a bullet to the spine by the Joker.) - RAPatton
I really liked Simone's writing on Birds of Prey. - josh neff, Fun Dip of FF
It was a really good book, and Gail does a good job on most anything. Love her Secret Six. - RAPatton
I don't know when it happened. But, that stupid jingle from ask.com's commercial grew on me. Dammit.
I hope you don't mind / I hope you don't mind / That I put down in words / How wonderful life is / Now you're in the world
Since y'all were so good at identifying Boob Girl, who's this?

The Question (Renee Montoya) - Alex Scrivener
The second Question. - josh neff, Fun Dip of FF
Yeah, they got it. Question II. She used to be a cop in Gotham, but during 52 became the second question. She used to be the lover of the current Batwoman, but they aren't anymore. She was a great character in 52 and in Gotham Central, but less interesting in the small feature in the back of Detective Comics (the batwoman book) - RAPatton
She was badass in 52. Also one of the better storylines in 52 as well. - Carlos Ayala
you guys need to run a comic book library so I can read all these things. :D I wouldn't even know where to start. - Yolanda from IM
They have most everything at your local library, I bet. If you just describe what you are interested in, I am sure several of will suggest quality titles. - RAPatton
