Group therapy here: I hate that I have to workout and watch intake to maintain or reduce weight, all my youth I was underweight. Genetics are a bitch, I'm looking --and sounding-- like my dad more and more. On the flip side, I see the bigger picture, and now that I'm married, don't have to worry about girls, dating, and other growing up issues. It's a fun ride, and I'm enjoying it.
- Jeremiah Owyang
I like that now when I speak people listen, when I was younger that drove me insane. I hate that my body feels second hand already. (28)
- Toby Graham
Love using wisdom I didn't have earlier on when I was younger. I hate trying to get back into shape... it seems to take longer each time I attempt it. [But I'm NOT giving up. :)]
- Kevin C. Tofel
I don't worry so much. I realized at some point "hey, I'm pretty good at what I do" and now I trust my gut. Work sometimes made me a nervous wreck when I was younger (mostly I just cared too much, often about the wrong things).
- Jason Wehmhoener
Hate: Weight gain issues like Jeremiah mentioned; feel tired/run-down faster now; memory loss (which is secondary to having a hugely stressful job!!); not as much of a "looker" now...ignored more in favor of younger women (ouch); rejected more. Love: Respect, knowledge/wisdom factor is awesome!; street smarts, business saavy "capitol", better communication, people / political saavy; historical context is now present (better decisions/info); deeper tech domain knowledge / skill set ... big picture is big!
- Susan Beebe
The first time someone called me "Sir" I stepped out of the way because I thought they were talking to someone behind me. Then I realized. *sigh*. On the upside, I don't worry about *anything* anymore.
- Sprague D
LOVE: the confidence that really understanding yourself brings Don't-Love-so-much - the minor aches and ridiculously longer recovery times
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
Love: the freedom to do what i want to do, horizontal license, less stress. Hate: the fact that i realize i'm getting older.
- Kyle A Koch
Love: Freedom, more responsibilities, mental growth, and simply growing up through the hardships of life. Hate: Not being able to play in the park anymore cause I'm too big :(
- Bartek Ciszkowski
@Kyle, horizontal license = no one to tell you to get out of bed?
- Toby Graham
I Love that every day i grow more knowledgeable than I grow old. I hate that things to worry about increase faster than anything else (except maybe credit).

Hate: noisy knees, gray underarm hair (just one? Where's The Fish?!?) LOVE: being taken more seriously at work, having the confidence that comes from surviving all the weird things I've experienced in my life.
- Ha3rvey (obviously wrong)
I love that people respect me more and more as I get older. I hate that those younger than me respect me lesser and lesser.
- Shey, Jamaican of FF
Love: dancing at parties (at last!) and not care what others might be thinking. Hate: diabetes.
- Bob Kingsley
I love that I can give self-doubt the finger. (finally) Why couldn't I have this confidence and wisdom at 18? ;) I hate the fact that I'm 29 and have some lower-back issues.
- Anna Haro
Hate: feeling compelled to respond to lists like this. Love: having kids.
- Clay Newton
Love the comfort and bonding of a long marriage, watching our kids grow, and the fact that every day is one day closer to heaven. Hate the aches and pains.
- Robert
Love: being able to dance on the sofa with my shoes on while holding a bowl of ice cream. Hate: being the one that has to clean up the ice cream when i drop it on the sofa.

i love that younger people will listen to me now. I hate that younger people won't listen to me now.

love: experience, lessons; hate: physical and mental deterioration, people around me getting older.

Hate that I'm usually the oldest guy in the room, and forgetting that I am :)
- Bryan Thatcher
I love that I had my kids very young (and they are grown!) and that I look young but have all these years of wisdom. I hate that I don't know about half the bands my son listens to so he thinks I know nothing of music. GAH!

I've been a kid and am an adult. Adult is better :)
- Michael Gartenberg
Love that I can afford the latest techno gadgets and try out new hobbies. Hate the gray hair and the aching bones after a good workout.
- Alfred C. Chen
Love: feeling more comfortable in my skin, broader perspective, increased earning power, knowing my stuff (most of the time, anyways); Hate: needing so much sleep, wrinkles
- Erin Collopy
Love the wisdom that comes from experience. Hate having to think about how finite our time is.
- LogEx
Love that a growing level of experience and knowledge allows for the generation of a number of ideas. Frustrated by knowledge and skill deficits necessary for successful execution that is revealed by those very same ideas
- Marco(aureliusmaximus)
I hate everytime Vera tells me I sound grumpy like my dad, and in the back of my head, I know I do.

Love that I've learned to breathe and what is really important - Hate that I need more time to recover from things.

Eh, I've had dog, it's not even that good, and it's freaking expensive. The criticisms of it are pretty hypocritical, though, unless you're a vegan -- it's not like they're snatching Lassie and boiling her, and if you look at how cows, pigs, etc. meet their end in big industrial farms, it's no worse.
- John Biesnecker
Gee, shouldn't they ban Peking ducks too ?
- Dave@yummyporky
@ John Biesnecker -- Actually, if the way they kill (not slaughter) the dogs in China is the same as in South Korea (where I lived for 3 years, now in Japan), then it's much worse than regular slaughter house killings. In Korea the dogs are beat to death with bats, to make them angry so that adrenaline goes into the meat. Thus, when you eat it you supposedly get an energy (and sexual) boost. I have been vegetarian for 12 years, btw.

Andrew, Haven't you heard that TV adds 10 pounds ? it has a way for people's intelligence / lack off too, really depends on which way they swing
- Dave@yummyporky
Wow, hats off the guy who designed the awesome rendering engine ..... oh yeah ..and to the guy who drew the cars as well :)
- Sachendra
Good looking renders, But I never understand making CG look so real it looks like a photograph, what's the point of CG unless it CAN'T done with photography
- Dave@yummyporky
Dave, because these can eventually be interactive worlds!
- Jeremiah Owyang
Dave, because it is often cheaper to render an image of an item that does not exist than trying to get a single, or a couple of moc-up products for a photoshoot. If you know the design of your next car, and want to start adverts before they reach production, then this makes sense.
- Apollo Gonzales
How do I know that there fake? The interwebs is full of real stuff, isn't it? (very cool pics though)
- phil baumann
site has exceeded bandwidth-must have been good!
- Arne-Per
I knew this girl who was trying to build a realistic looking whale in CG, so realistic that it doesn't even show any emotion or personality. I still don't see the point of that even today as someone a working creative type. there's really no point of doing that in CG. Same to me with these cars.
- Dave@yummyporky
Also that's why Sherk and Nemo are successful and Final Fantasy - the spirits within and Beowolf are considered flops
- Dave@yummyporky
Chinese restaurateurs need to rethink about branding/marketing Chinese food, no reason for French/Italian food to be considered as elegant dining and Chinese food as dumpster dive. Chinese people are as much about good food as they are
- Dave@yummyporky
Since I'm no video expert, how can I lighten a video recorded on my camera? It seems when I upload to youtube, it processes to make it even darker. Is there a way?
Obviously I wasn't filming myself being a drunk idiot otherwise I would have been better lit. Unfortunately I am down to one working vista laptop. I would love to go back to high school days to remember and have access to all the television and video production tools. Looks like I will have to wait until August when I plan to get a mac for the final cut software.
- Andrea Baker
in windows movie maker has an effect filter to brighten your video, you really don't need final cut to do something like that. Still, no filter can rescue complete darkness, so it still helps to lit the scene right when before the shoot begins
