Panda's are quite possibly the most absurd looking animal second only to the duck billed platypus. It is for this reason that I <3 dem.
- Geoff Schultz
Kungfu Panda is showing his sensitive side! :)

As Mike points out, it aint going to happen as you always see tweets with you as an @. I just wanted to imagine a Twitter world without celebs :)

HAHAHAHA! When I was playing Most Wanted I would inadvertently swoop near every passing car for "near-miss" points. Took some hairy rides before I got it out of my system. :)

What's embarrassing: When we go to the store and one of the kids, get concerened, "You didn't get beer (or wine)" and I say, "That's right." or somthing flippant and they freak out, practically yelling, "Mama, buy some beer!"
- Anika
i think it is pretty normal because that's the statistics : the people who buy baby needs, buy more beer (one of my lecturer told that)

Dude, someone made the Death Star out of a pumpkin! That's the very first thing that came out of my mouth. It is such an existential Bill & Ted moment.
- Ken Stewart | ChangeForge
Cee Bee, that's close...more of a "that's bad ass" reaction to that Pug...reminds me of the dog in MIB...good effort though, but I still contend the Bambi pics are still an 11 on the Cute Scale...

I was wondering about that Geoff. I considered the other suggested Sci-Fi shows and most of them dealt with space related stories. Dr Who (from what I know and I can totally be wrong since I haven't seen all of them) deal with multiple time on other planets and dimensions. I think Dr Who is in a complete category of its own genius creation when it comes to Sci-Fi.

From io9: "Oh those crazy Battlestar Galactica survivorsand their wild sex parties. It seems like nothing gets them hotter than the near-total annihilation of the human race. The BSG "yearbook" that the cast and crew received at the show's wrap party includes a "frak tree" showing who's had sex with whom. You can't see it, because it contains spoilers for the show's final episodes. But brilliant fan Crazyvictoria compiled her own glorious version."

"I was a tiny bit skeptical about LEGO Batman: The Videogame. I knew it would be fun, because the previous LEGO videogames had been such a blast. The question really was whether they could make it different enough from the other games that it would be worth the money, while at the same time having enough Batman content to please fans. My doubts were quickly erased. Whereas for LEGO Indiana Jones they added the ability to pick up and use objects, in this game even more has changed. While characters actually can't pick up objects, there are suits with different powers that Batman and Robin can use (which are of course necessary to solving certain puzzles), and, more significantly, you play as the villains in half of the game. No more do you have to get that little thrill from playing the evil characters only during Free Play—now you actually have to do so as part of the story."

"Platform-specific note: I played the Wii version of the game, and the game runs very well on that platform. The creators did use the Wii's unique interface to good advantage, in that you aim the batarang (and Robin's equivalent) by pointing the remote where you want it to go. You can also swing the remote to throw the batarang or a punch, but I find it easier to just use the button."
- RAPatton
WANTZ! All LEGO games are awesome. Does it have online co-op?
- Lindsey is Fierce!
I have yet to play any of the LEGO games, but I've heard nothing but great things about all of them. I should try and check this one out.
- James Ferguson
this is going to be a fun game. it's been on my list since june
- Cee Bee
my boys just got this and have been loving it.
- Thomas Hawk
The hubby just started playing LEGO Batman last night. It's such a fun, creative, clever game! We have it for the Wii, and I agree that the Wii-specific controls are pretty cool.
- Cheryl Jones
@RAPatton - I put this on my Gamefly queue for the 360, but may change it to the Wii version.

One son has a birthday in October, the other in November and then they enjoy Christmas, so I must restrain myself and not buy them anything until a proper date comes. Either that, or they do something that deserves to be celebrated

"10. He wants me to dress as Yeoman Rand every Halloween. Seriously? She's a Starfleet petty officer and she doesn't wear pants? And the wig too? They wear bouffant hairdos in the 2260s?"
- RAPatton
"9. Yes, I know who Yeoman Rand is. That's actually in my head along with the fact that she was played by Grace Lee Whitney who was let go after only eight episodes, and all the factors that played into her being let go. This is occupying much-needed space in my brain. I think about this each and every time I forget where my keys are."

"7. I have to sit through endless arguments with his friends on who would win in a fight between Aquaman and the Sub-Mariner. Apparently, that's the only crossover super-hero battle that can't be settled with "They wouldn't fight, they'd be friends." Trust me, I've tried it."
- RAPatton
"1. When I said that the children should take up an athletic hobby his suggestion was "Broadsword". Now I get to bus the kids from church to the Society for Creative Anachronism on Sundays. Try explaining the SCA to the minister. I dare you."
- RAPatton
Sub-Mariner would kick Aquaman's ass. Aquaman was a pussy.
- Jason Carreira
I have seriously considered getting my kids into both archery and fencing :)
- RAPatton
SCAdians and churchies have a heckuvalot more crossovers than there are super-heros. Your kids will be much better balanced for having lived the SCA experience :) PS I always felt SCA should allow real battles, with live blades and sharp pointy arrows, bruises don't scar as well as punctures, contusions or lacerations (or broadsword wounds)
- Aaron the Librarian
do it RAP. i used to fence in HS. it was fun. i was thinking of joining my local fencing club.
- Anika
I think I would start with archery. I almost did the classes last year, but other sports interfere and I don't like overloading the kids. One activity at a time is enough. My youngest has an interest in archery, I would have to drag my oldest and get him to try it. I suspect he would be better at it and would enjoy it. An added benefit of archery, is I can take the classes with them.

"I took over 75 photos in just a matter of minutes as she danced and explored around the field near my home. It was very hard, but I had to select just a couple to post, so I chose two from when she was discovering some of the small flowers in the field. Even though I wanted to capture her smile, and did in other frames, these two were my favorites."

Jeremy comments on his craft. Wonderful photos Jeremy.

Thanks for the link and kudos. I was really looking forward to this photoshoot with Lacy. Because of her disability, she displays pure childhood innocence and purity in everything she does. Her parents are thrilled with the pictures, which makes it even more rewarding.
- Jeremy Hall
Kudos to you J. This is a wonderful gift to the parents.

Talk about a classic look. Will you be making one of these snazzy pics Geoff?
- Lindsey is Fierce!
i have to wait a decade or two before i know what will be really embarassing. I have a feeling it will be those no collar button up shirts from the 90s.
- Geoff Schultz
I'm sure a pic from the last couple weeks is just as embarrassing for you as one you took twenty years ago :P

“After watching the runners puff past me in the Bristol Half Marathon I wandered over to the docks and did a quick sketch in my Moleskine of Clifton Wood. It's a bit rough but I always enjoy sitting down and doing a drawing outside.” - http://beta.friendfeed.com/e...
Hey this is intersting... Reshare feature...ok got it now! thx!

It's not that McCain's too old, but he IS old, and if he were to pass, would you trust Palin as president? No one is questioning Biden's ability to take over should Obama die, which I am kind of curious about.
