I'm assuming some kind of music video. This is a popular dance/activity of some kind...I think in Jamaica. There was an epidemic of broken weiners as a result. (this is not a joke)
- Rahsheen?
Dude...that video is just...WTF. I thought I'd seen it all, but they're just blatantly miming all types of innapropriate shit to the nth degree
- Rahsheen?
That video made my netherbits hurt just watching it. :-/
- Hookuh Tinypants
Probably hasn't been heard of since because you can actually BREAK YOUR WINKY! Which is highly disturbing to me. Hence why I would never even think of doing this. I treasure my winky, along with a relatively small number of other individuals.
- Rahsheen?
Also see http://jezebel.com/5234308... - in particular, "Just when you were getting over the horror of daggering, a video of extreme dancing to reggae music shows a man jumping off of an 8 foot column on to the crotch of a woman.Oh yeah: And then he throws a table at her."
- ωαřмaiden ❤Marrit Woman❤
This is why my Guyanese half and my Jamaican half have issue with each other. LOL.

I actually came over here to see if Kam was okay. And I get an education ... ;-) FF FTW.

So me and Drew started hanging out and I started hanging with his other guy friends and it was all good.
- Derrick
Lots of basketball, movies, mall crawling, etc.
- Derrick
By my junior year we decided to get involved with groups on campus so we could put that kind of stuff on our college apps.
- Derrick
I ended up on the student body working with people in the community and getting them to donate stuff for the school. Drew wasn't voted into a position, but he helped out and it was all good.
- Derrick
Then at some point, he started hanging out with this chick who was a cheerleader. We'll call her Susie.
- Derrick
They started doing their thing and it meant that we spent less time together and it was cool. I was happy for him.
- Derrick
Until I started realizing that I wasn't.
- Derrick
I was jealous of her and I couldn't figure out why.
- Derrick
He was cool, but every little thing he did, she acted like he was the first person to ever do it. His jokes were the funniest, his smile the cutest, etc.
- Derrick
I was scattered and all over the place and couldn't figure out why.
- Derrick
Then, at some point...I found myself doing that thing that all teenage boys do ten times a day in the privacy of their own room and Drew popped into my head.
- Derrick
Because I knew gay people, but didn't see myself as one. I wasn't some flaming queen (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I liked hip hop and basketball!
- Derrick
After that, I started having fantasies about him. Sexual ones.
- Derrick
I couldn't deny it and it made me extremely depressed.
- Derrick
My senior year I was a mess. Could barely attend classes and so sad, my friends didn't know what to make of me. My depression scared them all away.
- Derrick
Spring break, I tried to kill myself. I slit my wrists.
- Derrick
A teacher noticed. And looking back I realized that he was gay too. And in his subtle way, tried to tell me that once I got out of high school, I'd be ok. That there were other people like me. And, like him.
- Derrick
I finished, started college and slowly and surely got to like and even love myself, but it was a guy named Drew that revealed the happy go lucky gay guy you see before you. I haven't seen him in years, and he was the first person I ever came out too, although I never told him I was in love with him.
- Derrick
I think that's about it. Thanks for letting me share my story.
- Derrick
(((Derrick))) Thanks for sharing that with us.
- Jenny H
<3 Derrick, you are absolutely brave and amazing. I'm glad you made it through such a tough time, because I think there are many of us who couldn't imagine a world without you in it. Thank you for sharing, and cheers! :)
- Lola Bean (Penguin)
Wait a minute. Just wait a damned minute here. YOU'RE GAY?! [cue The More the You Know jingle]

Thanks everyone. I don't know where that came from tonight, but I appreciate everyone listening to how I got here.

That was one heart-grabbing, well-told story, D. Glad it has a happy ending, and that you chose to share it with us. *hugs you tight*

#awwDerrick <3 great story, glad it had a happy ending: "And then I was king of the internets"
- Lo
Wow. You must feel so great to get that off your chest. Happy to know that you were able to get out of that high school time alright. It must have been crazy. Good to know you're here and happy. High Five!
- Harold Cabezas
Derrick, FTW. Respeck. This is why you're among the coolest people I know, Internet friends be damned.
- Mike Nayyar
What an awesome story of a first love. I'm so happy you've shared with us.
- Sally - Skyrimmin' It
Aw, thanks everyone. Honestly, it means a lot. I was pretty miserable for a couple years, but I've made my peace. I'm just a guy who likes guys. It doesn't define me, and I certainly have other interests, but when you're sixteen and don't know any better, you never think you're going to get through it. I'm glad I did. <333
- Derrick
Derrick, you are teh awsum. Everybody should have someone like you as their gay best friend. {{{{{{{{{{ Derrick }}}}}}}}}} Keep up the joy!
- Ordinarybug Heather
Aww. :) Glad you're still here, Derrick.
- Zach Flauaus
If anything, I'm glad to see how much progress there's been for gay kids in high school. It's likely still rough, but there are at least gay/straight student alliances and stuff that we didn't have at the time. I think that's huge.
- Derrick
You are so brave for sharing your story here..it's not sometimes easy to tell about life, especially share the moments which had changed your world totally. This was one of those moments for you and your story will courage from now on others whom are in alike situation. *cheers!

Reading all this to Noah. When I got here--"Then, at some point...I found myself doing that thing that all teenage boys do ten times a day in the privacy of their own room and Drew popped into my head"--Noah said, "oh, video games. Right. I get it." :)

I just re-reread this and want to tell you how glad I am that you shared this with us. and how glad I am that you didn't succeed in sabotaging yourself. cos I think you're the bee's knees :)
- Starmama
I think this is the gayest gay I've ever gayed in my entire gay. And by that, I mean thanks for gaying. I love coming out gayries every once in a gayle. :) <3 Glad you found yourself, and I think it's fair to say your friends and readers are glad too. and possibly gay. 8====D
- Kyle Prime
You like basketball and hip-hop. NO WAY you can be gay!! (1990 quote for real). I am assuming (((Derrick))) means we are giving him hugs? I give you one too!! You were left on this earth to continue touching people's lives ... Real talk!
- Amani
Wow - Derrick. Thanks for giving us the chance to see this part of your story. You are an amazing guy not the least of which due to the fact you shared this with all of us. Do you think lots of kids have the same experience? I always wondered about that. I also wondered if the trigger is person-specific or a certain person just happens to be in the right place at the right time.
- Martha
<3 Derrick. I was 16 when I first 'met' you on FriendFeed, and you helped me grow up to be not-a-bigot. Thanks.
- Yuvi
Yuvi's comment is bringing a tear to my eye. I'm thankful for all the out gay dudes I have known over the years who made it very clear that gay dudes are pretty much the same as straight dudes, except funnier and better dressed. Oh and they have sex with other gay dudes.
- Steele Lawman
Derrick, I believe you've earned the crown of "Spokesqueer of Friendfeed". ;)
- Jack&Cleo
I'm honestly touched by everyone's comments and especially to see that I had some impact on Yuvi. That's something you just can't buy. Thanks again, so so much.
- Derrick
I don't have the words for how much I liked this thread. D, I'm glad we're friends.
- Ha3rvey #teamMonique
Thank you so much for sharing that, Derrick. You are so beautiful.
